"Jimmy!" I scream but it's to late. A truck crashes into his car. It was the next morning, on our way to work, that everything changes.
With blood pouring down my face, I pull out my phone. "9-1-1. What's your emergency?" I hear the dispatcher say. I cough.
"My... My fiancé and I were hit by a truck... I think he's unconscious." I say. As I talk I hear the blood gurgle in my mouth. I finish telling her where we are as I black out.
'I walk into the building and immediately I'm overwhelmed by a bright orange room. There are so many people I think I might puke. You see... I don't do well with large amounts of people... The only reason I ever took this job is because I get to work with computers. They already have a tech geek, McGee is his name I believe, but they wanted another. So here I am. I walk over to the middle section where there are four desks seated at the corners.
"Hello?" a feminine voice snaps me out of my frantic thoughts. I turn to my left to see a woman with curly brown hair. By the sound of her voice I guess she is from the Middle East.
"Uh... Hi." I respond nervously, "I'm here to see agent Gibbs..."
"He is not here at the moment... Take a seat." she says. She points to a chair across the room.
"Thank you..." I reply. I walk across room and sit. The silence is threatening. Making the situation even more awkward.
"Are you our new member?" she asks.
"Yes... I'm Ashton. Ashton Hughe." '
"Ashton? How ya feeling?" McGee asks as I blink my eyes open.
"What... What happened? Where am I?" I ask, starting to feel around.
"You're in a hospital. You and Palmer where in an accident." Tony says as he looks to the ground.
"Jimmy! Is he ok?" I start to stand up.
"No. You're not getting up." Gibbs says pushing me back down onto the bed.
"Is he ok?!" I scream.
"Well... Uh..." they mumble.
"Tell me."
"He... He is in a comma." Ziva says quietly. I loose my head. I start crying and throwing anything I can reach.
"Why?! Why?!"
