"You ready for this?" Tony asks. He looks over and McGee nods, a bead of sweat dripping down his cheek.
"Are you ready for this?" I ask. Abby nods and pulls me into a hug.
Six months have passed and today's the day. Abby and McGee are going to get married. What has been anticipated for years. The double doors open and reveal a crowd of eyes staring at us. McGee is waiting at the alter, he has beads of sweat on his forehead and nose. The music begins to play as Palmer and I walk down the isle, carrying Riley and Addison, the ring bearer and flowers girl bearers, if you will. We are followed by Tony and Ziva, the best man and maid of honor. Abby and McGee decided not to have a big wedding party, so it was just the six of us and them.
The music gets louder and everyone stands, glowing with excitement. Gibbs appears, escorting Abby in her beautiful off-white gown. It covers her arms down to her elbows and is embedded with jewels. I can see tears collecting in the corners of his eyes.
Within a blink it's all over. The wedding. The reception. Done. Abby and McGee have left on the most memorable trip of their lives. The rest of us are at the park cleaning up the decorations. "You did a great job, kid." Gibbs says, walking up behind me, placing his strong hand on my shoulder.
"Thank you." I blush.
"You couldn't have done this all by yourself, could you?" Ducky smiles.
"Of course not! I had the help of my amazing friends and husband!"
"Speaking of them... Where are they?" Jimmy asks, looking around.
"I don't know... Let's go look."
