"So. Do we want to find out if our baby is a boy or a girl today?" Jimmy asks, waking me up with a kiss.
"I believe so!" I say. I look into his eyes and smile.
"I can't wait to meet our little miracle. Thank you for making me a daddy. I love you." He puts his arm around me and pulls me close.
"Thank you for making me a mommy."
"Well, let's get up and going!" Jimmy says as he sits up. We both get ready and head out to the doctors office.
"Ashton Palmer?" The nurse calls into the waiting room. Jimmy grabs my hand as I stand up and leads me back.
"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer!" Dr. Branson says, closing the door.
"Hello!" we reply.
"So... Today, you can, if you would like, find out the gender of your baby... Would you like that?"
"Yes." we agree.
"Alright then! Let's get to it." I lay there as he gets ready to do the ultrasound. A minute into checking if our baby is all alright, he gets a strange look on his face.
"What? What is it?" Jimmy asks jumping out of his chair.
"Well, Mr. Palmer... Come look." They look at the screen and whisper. I lay there confused as to what is going on around me.
"Ashton." Jimmy says, with a smile on his face, "We're having twins."
"We are? Twins? Two?!" I exclaim.
"Yes. A boy and... Well... The other is hiding... I can't quite tell. Maybe next time you're in he or she won't be hiding behind his or her brother." Dr. Branson laughs.
