✓ Chapter Twenty-Three: Remake

Nakatulala lang si Jeanna sa kawalan habang hinihimas ang uli ng pusa niyang si Poochi. Wala siyang pasok ngayon pero hindi naman iyon sapat na rason para hindi na siya bumangon, pero heto siya at iyon mismo ang sitwasyon. She doesn't have the slightest will to even move out of her bed.

This has to be related to what happened last night. Gusto niyang sabunutan ang sarili niya kapag naiisip kung gaano siya kababaw.

She barely knows Kieth and yet here she is, literally "simping" for the man and stressing for the fact that he has a girlfriend.

Siguro wala namang makakasisi sa kanya, hindi ba? Lahat naman dumadaan sa phase na maa-attract at magkaka-crush ka sa isang gwapong binata sa unang tingin. Not necessarily a love at first sight kind of situation, but she really does admire the fine man.

Even if how much she says it, her words for that man will not be enough. A tall, fine man with his long hair. Damn. She's never been attracted to any man in her life—but, of course, he has a girlfriend and she needs to keep this crush to herself. Hindi naman na siya teenager para sa ganito.

Plus, Kieth's woman knows to scare women away from her man. Hindi niya gustong sinasamaan siya ng tingin ng kahit sino, pero nakuha niya ang point nito. She can't say that she would do the same, though, because if she's her... she would probably grin to women rather than give them sour looks. Grin and smile your sweetest because your confidence should radiate that you own the fine man they're salivating for.

Doon na siya bumangon at nagpasyang maghanda ng umagahan. Gutom lang itong mga naiisip niya. Kung ano-ano talagang napag-iisip-isip niya kapag walang laman ang sikmura niya.

He will be meeting Kieth tomorrow and these thoughts today will not help her stay as a civilized business person. It's not for a report meeting but for a simple tour within the main branch restaurant.

After fixing herself her food, she also gave Poochi hers and proceeded to reading her emails and other messages.

Merong text ang kuya niya na sinabing papunta ito sa Greece kasama ang ate niya para sa isang weekend getaway at sinabi lang iyon noon para inggitin siya. Biniro na lang niya ang kuya niya na gusto niya ng pasalubong.

Jeno still stays in their main house, but after returning from LA, she decided to move closer to her main restaurant. Ang hassle kasi na malayo ang bahay nila sa trabaho niya. Gusto niyang kasama ng kuya niya sa iisang bahay pero mas gusto niyang bumukod na para naman magdecide na itong magpakasal sa ate niya. Goodness, ang tagal naman kasing magpakasal ng dalawang iyon at parang seryoso sa paghihintay na mag-asawa muna siya.

Another text is from Henry. Ininform lang siya nito na pabalik na ito ng LA. Kahit kailan talaga iyon. Though she misses and appreciates him coming in here, she prefers him to rest himself. Ang dami rin kayang trabaho ng binata.

Henry has been a good friend to her. Kahit nagagalit ito kapag tinatawag niya itong kuya, iyon kasi talaga ang turing niya sa binata. Henry is like her another brother from another set of parents. He has been her bestfriend.

Not to say that in front of her original bestfriend, heto na nga at nagchat sa kanya si JL nang sandamakmak na pictures ng anak nitong si Theo Val at kasama na doon ang reminder tungkol sa gaganaping party para sa brother-in-law nitong si Marcus.

Everyone around her seems to be living a happy and she couldn't get happier than that. Mahal niya ang lahat ng mga ito at wala siyang ibang gugustuhin kung hindi ang sumaya sila. It gets lonely sometimes for her though.

Poochi purrs against her legs, making her laugh.

"Soon, baby. Mommy's going to be real happy, too."
