Katie's POV
"I'll always miss her. But our love is like the wind. I can't see it, But I can feel it."
"Come here, darling." Nick coos, sending shivers down my spine.
"No." I sniff, wiping my teary eyes.
"Let me hug you." He says, caressing my hair.
"No. Please just leave me alone."
He sighs and wraps his arms around me. "Stop being stubborn, I do what I want."
"But . . ." I sniff. "Shh. . . Let it out." He says, softly.
"You two are so cheesy, Stop it." Rob groans.
"Shut up you, idiot. At least, We have feelings. Not like someone who's inhuman." I glare.
"I don't care." He says, raising a hand up in the air. "Peasant."
"Rob! You shouldn't interrupt a sweet moment!" Kristen says, tears falling before slapping Rob's arm.
"Geez! Sorry, Kris. I didn't know." He shrugs.
I sigh and cling tighter to Nick and cry more. I will never get tired watching A Walk To Remember. This movie is just so damn beautiful. Why did cancer even exist? I wipe my eyes with a tissue. The movie ended quickly, I'm already planning to repeat it again. But I brace myself, I don't want Nick to get bored, and my eyes are all puffy and red at the moment and I'm not planning to puff it more.
"Katie, This is your 100th time watching A Walk To Remember, but you still cry your eyes out. Don't you get bored? Doesn't it suck more?" Rob asks.
"Shut up or I will smack your face with a pan." I threaten.
"Chill, sis. Chill! I was just asking!" He says, his hands up.
"Asking? You call that asking? You just asked and insulted the movie!" I snap.
"Here, have some water." Nick says, handing me a glass of water.
"Thanks." I reply before taking a sip.
*
"Oh, yeah. Katie?"
"Yeah?"
"I have a plan, Go change into something comfortable." Nick orders.
"I am comfortable?" I ask, pointing at my oversized sweater.
He shakes his head. "Something girly and comfortable. Go on, shoo."
I shrug and get up to change, I pick out one of my favorite skirts and a gray top. I brush my nest like hair. Woah, It sure looks icky to me.
"Hey. I'm back." I say.
He turns around. His head averts up on the staircase, where I was. "Woah."
"Is this okay? Or is this a little too much?" I ask.
His eyes are fixed on mine. He takes a deep breath. "You look beautiful, as always."
My cheeks filled color. I fiddle with my thumbs behind my back. "T-thanks."
He extends his hand, and without thinking. . . I took it. He intertwines our hands and protectively walk with me down the stairs. I couldn't get the tint off my face. Rob smirks and nods, Nick smiles at him. I don't get it. Why are they smiling and nodding? What is happening?
*
"I think you should wear this." He says, showing me a blue hankerchief.
"Why?"
"Trust me." He smiles. Why am I still not used to him being my boyfriend?
I nod. He ties the hankerchief around my eyes. "Where are we going?"
"That is a secret." He chuckles. "This is why I want you to cover your eyes."
"Oh. Why won't you tell me? You remember what happened on our first dinner together." I remind.
He grunts. "That was one embarrassing night. I almost got you sick - No wait. Dead!"
"Killed? Idiot, Whenever I eat seafood, I get rashes and my head whirls. I don't die!" I laugh.
"Oh. I guess I'm over acting. . ."
"You think?" I say in a Duh voice. He laughs.
*
"We're here." He says I can imagine that grin on his face.
"Where exactly?"
"Oh, I forgot that you had a blind fold." He chuckles.
I hear the car door open and close, Then the door next to me opens "M'lady?"
"I can't see where I'm gonna step or anything!"
"Trust me, I won't let you fall."
"But you let me fall for you." I smirk. Nice, how cheesy of you Katherine.
"Not my problem, I'm so irresistible." He says, proudly. I leap out of the car.
"How arrogant, how proud." I could've rolled my eyes but I can't. I'm blindfolded.
His hand snakes down my waist, His other is intertwined in mine. "One big step, then a small one. We're almost there."
I obey, He takes the blindfold away. I open my eyes and a beautiful pathway is waiting for us. There are trees which made it prettier. Put in mind it was cloudy today. It looks perfect! It looks like we're filming a movie. It's just so romantic.
"Woah." I let out.
"Beautiful isn't it? You're the first girl - er, person I brought here." He smiles.
I look at him, "Really?" He nods.
"As the first person I brought in this special place, I want to our relationship like Landon and Jamie." He smiles sincerely. Is this real or is this fantasy?
"A friendly reminder that Jamie dies." I tell him. He rolls his eyes. "Not including that part, of course."
"Jamie is prettier than the potato standing in front of you."
"Actually, You're prettier than Jamie. Not to mention, Perfecter."
"Dude, There's no such this as Perfecter. The last time I checked it was More perfect." I say, laughing.
We end up laughing for a few minutes then we walk around. This is my version of A Walk To Remember. It's just so perfect. Everything's perfect. I just can't stop describing it. He sings Beautiful In My Eyes, which makes it more romantic. Wow. I sound soppy and love struck.
"What was that?" Nick asks.
"What?"
"That." he says, motioning the rustling noise.
"Probably a squirrel. Or a dog. Or worse, A rabbit."
"There aren't any rabbits or animals around here. Just birds. Maybe there's someone here? Maybe they found my secret space." He says, dramatically.
"You are so dramatic, Romeo." I roll my eyes.
"Thank you, Lovely Juliet." He winks.
