Katie's POV

Another new day, Another day taken off from summer. Summer is almost over, It can't be. If only we could stop time. If only I could live here until I die. For sure, I would miss everyone. . . Especially Nick and his family. Why can't summer stay for a longer time? Why can't I just stay here?

My phone rings. I crawl my way to my bed. I tapped answer. "Hello?"

"KAT!" A high pitched voice greets.

"Ow." I groan. "Hi to you too, Kris."

"Sorry. Are you busy this afternoon?"

"Nope. Why?"

"Let's go to the mall!" She screeches.

"Kristen. I'll go with you, but please DON'T EVER SCREAM AGAIN." I groan.

"Yuppidity." She giggles. "See ya later! You can bring your boyfriend too."

"Should I bring Rob too?" I challenge.

She stayed silent. "Yeah sure, it's fine."

"What are we gonna do at the mall?"

"We're gonna watch a movie!" She says with a loud voice. "Oops, sorry."

I sigh. "Sure. What movie?"

"The Conjuring."

"Oh no no no, Never in a million years!" I say.

"Noooo, It's not really that scary. Pleaseeee."  She begs.

"No, I don't like scary movies!"

"Kat. It's not that scary. It's like BOOM then on the next second its too. . . funny." She explains.

"Fine. We'll pick you up. What time?" I sigh.

"2 pm. See yaaaaa." She giggles, hanging up.

The door bell rings, I slipped on my flats and grabbed my bag. I hurried down the stairs. I took one last peek at the mirror.

"Rob! We gotta gooooo!" I shout.

"Coming!" Rob yells back from his room.

I opened the door and greeted Nick. I told him to come in and wait for Rob. We talked for a bit. Rob isn't coming down any moment now, I think we'll have to wait for another 10 minutes.

"So. . . What are we watching?" Nick asks,

"The Conjuring." I sigh.

"I've been wanting to watch that!" He grins. "This is goooood."

"No. This isn't. I hate scary movies."

"Oh Come on. Don't be a party pooper." He says, nudging me.

"Don't call me a party pooper. I don't poop at parties."

He bursted out laughing. "Is that what you think it means?"

"No. You said it that way." I pointed out.

"Did not!"

"You did!"

"Did not!"

"You did!" I say sticking my tongue out at him.

"Very mature, Katherine. Having a Did not, You did fight with your boyfriend and stucking your tongue." Dad chuckles.

"Dad, Please. Not now." I groan. Nick chuckles. "Damn you."

"Ow." He lets out, his hand covers his ribs.

"Thats what you get, idiot."

"Let's not forget about the coffee accident, babe." he smirks.

"Let's also not forget your Hannah Montana DVDs." I challenge.

"Nick?!?!? You own  Hannah Montana DVDs?!?!" Rob asks, eyes wide as basketballs.

"I. . . uh. . ."

"Yes." I grin.

"Am I missing something here?" Rob asks once more.

"You're missing quite a lot, Rob." I laugh, silently.

"We should go." Nick says, changing the topic.

"Yeah, We should." Rob nods.

"Bye Dad!"

"Bye kids! Have fun! Stay safe!" Dad smiles.

*

"Turn left." I order.

"Which house?" Nick asks.

"The white one."

He slowly parks the car in front of the white one. I get out of my seat and walk towards the door. I press the doorbell. The door opened wide, Kristen smiles and hugged me.

"Cant. . . Breathe. . ."

"Oh sorry for suffocating you. Let's go, go, go!" She giggles.

"Sometimes I worry about your hyperness." I mumble.

"Thanks, I know you do." She jumps, grabbing my wrist. "Come on! We need to gooooo!"
