Chapter 12:Mending her heart

(A/N:HERE IT COMES GUYS! The chapter we've all been waiting for! Finally Ace will confess to Itami! Haha although I will warn you that there will be feels. Feels man. A lot of feels. The big F. Not the big Fuck, its the big feels darling)

Itami pov
It was now night time, and I was still up in the crows nest. I didn't leave. I didn't feel like leaving. They will all start questioning me. Asking me why I've been crying.

I myself was still crying. Yup. I am still fucking crying.

I still had some dry tears & some wet tears. I smelt like tequila, probably because i keep a secret stash up here as well, and I've finished some bottles already.

'Fuck I shouldn't be drinking. But oh well, it tastes perfect.'

(A/N:Fuuun fact:When Itami is mad or sad, she swears.....A LOT!)

"Goddamn it suck it up....he doesn't love you."I sobbed

'He doesn't love me. Yet when I say that over & over, I get a horrible feeling inside me.'

"But....I still love him."

'And after everything, I still love him. I still believe that I might have a chance, when I have no chance in winning him back again. The idiot is me.'

I grit my teeth."Stupid stupid romance."

I sighed & stood up from the bed. I walked slowly over to the railing, and stared up at the full moon. It looked beautiful, all bright & round like that. I could see its reflection on the ocean, and it looked absolutely radiant.

"Keep lighting the way, will ya?"I said to the moon, even though it doesn't talk.

'What am I doing? I'm talking to the moon, the moon for Rogers sake! Moons can't talk.'

I took another swig of tequila, the sharp tang of alcohol clouding my slightly drunken mind.

"Well..."I sighed."How about one last song, huh? The moon looks lonely.."I said

Taking another swig, and pushing back my long, wavy brown hair, I start to sing.

"Don't drive me crazy,"
"Everything seems to far."

"How on earth,"
"Do I get to the strawberry field?"

"Oh please."
"Save me & let me smile."
"Just make me alright."
"Over the bed of trees,"
"My heart spins around."

"My howl in the dawn."
"To the isolated star."
"I dare to forgive you,"
"Everything seems too far."
"But care for me tenderly."

"How on earth,"
"Do I get to the strawberry field?"

I raised my bottle to the moon.

"Cheers to you moon, for staying with me all night."I joked

I glugged the whole bottle down, and it soon ran empty. I put the empty bottle on the ground, and was about to go & grab another bottle, but I heard someone clear their voice.
