Chapter 21:Autumn themed

Itami pov
I felt a shake on my arm. I groaned out a:"Its armed.." I heard a chuckle, then felt a small breeze blowing on my ear. I rolled away, but felt another breeze on me, and rolled away.

Only to squeal, and land on the floor. I groaned, and sat up, rubbing the place where I hit my head.

"Oh shit are you okay."

I open my eyes, and saw Ace staring down at me from the bed, panic all over his eyes. He was off the bed, and tending to me like I was a fallen child.

"Ugh Ace...you could've just shaken me awake."I groaned
"Bu-but Marco said that you'll go demon on me! Are you hurt anywhere?"He said quickly
"Yeah I'm fine...Marco was just joking around, he knew that I would fall off the bed."I sighed, sitting up

He suddenly picked me up bridal style, and laid me down on the bed. He cuddled me closer to his body, my head by his chest. His body was warm, and I could hear his lively heart beat. His heart sounded strong, alive, rhythmic...and well it beats!

'He's cuddly.'

I let out a small giggle.
"What is it?"He asked
"Nothing, nothing....its just that you make me laugh....you're too cute, Ace-kun."
"E-eh....I'm not supposed to be cute...I'm hot!"He said
I laughed, sitting back up & faced him."Is that a pun, or are you being serious?"
"A bit 'o both."He replied

I smiled & pecked his lips."Anyway, why did you need to wake me up?"
"Ah! I came in here to tell you that we've arrived on the next island. Its a Autumn island too, so its warm..but still a little bit cool."He said
"Okeiii....can you dress me?"I asked

I heard his heart beat speed up.

"E-eh?!??"
I laughed."Kidding kidding...unless you wanna treat me like your Barbie doll?"I said in a suggestive tone
He chuckled."Hmmm....now that you put it like that..."

He started kissing my neck again, making me pant a little bit.

"You realize that I was-Mmmph~ kidding right?"I panted

I felt his hands slowly lift my shirt nightie."Hmmm...at this point I can't tell if you're playing me...or if you want it."
"Just dress me up, baby. Lemme be your Barbie doll."

(A/N:Ha no! Not a lemon! Haha dirty dirty dirty!)

We later came out of my room hand in hand. Ace didn't do a bad job in dressing me up actually. I was wearing a autumn dress that had a long sleeved black top, and a dark green skirt. I put on some tights, black ankle boots that had a tick heel. I had tied my hair up into my usual pony tail (A/N:Still like Nami's hair style in Punk hazard), and even put some gold ring earrings on.

"I must say Portgas, you did a pretty good job in choosing a dress."I commented
"And why do you say that? I have a great sense of fashion!"
"Boy you're a shirtless cowboy pirate, how is that fashion?"I sassed
He gave me a look.
"Ace, you walk around with only pants, shoes & a hat on."I said
He sighed."Okay okay you win!"
I giggled."Naturally, my love."

We left the Moby Dick, and started to head into the town. Ace wasn't lying, this island is a Autumn island. Literally, its called Aki island....

Anyway, it sort of look like a forest island, but instead the leaves were red, orange & yellow. It was actually really beautiful in a way. The dirt path to the town was covered by flame coloured leaves.

"So what do you wanna do while we're here?"I asked
"Well, this was going to be a surprise, but I'm taking you out on a date."
My eyes went wide."Seriously?!"
"Ya gurlfriend. It already is 4:30."He said
"Jesus what time did I wake up?"I asked
"3:00."

I blushed, and used my hand to cover my blush.

'How embarrassingly un-ladylike!'

He chuckled."Don't worry, we're both as bad as each other."
"But still...it's embarrassing..."I stuttered

He sighed, and wrapped a arm around my waist. He pulled me closer towards his body, making my blush go as red as the leaves around us.

"You'll never embarrass me...I'm proud that you're mine. You can only he mine."He whispered to me, kissing my head

I think steam came out of my ears.

We carried on like that till we found a restaurant. It was simple, but it was a nice looking place to eat. It was called 'Jacks grove'.

We walked inside, and found that half the place was full. A waitress immediately came up to us, and started taking us to our seats. She sat us down & gave us our menus, saying that she'll cone back later.

I had decided on traditional pasta, with a side of spicey rice salad, and a Pomegranate vinger mixed with lemon soda water.

"Okay so we having dessert?"I asked
He smirked."Yeah, we will."

The waitress soon came back, and we gave our orders. A couple times I caught her flirting with Ace, while he just looked completely oblivious to it, and probably thought she was being nice.

When she left, I giggled.

"Ahhhh...she's obvious."I sighed
"What are you talking about?"He asked
"Our lucky waitress, she so was flirting with you."
"E-eh? Nooooo! She couldn't be! Wait...she was?"
"She so was. You were oblivious though from what I can tell."I said
"Are you jealous?"Ace asked
"No. Why would I be when I already have you in my arms?"I said
"Heh, you're right about that."

The waitress came back with our orders, 'secretly' flirting with Ace again. I think this time he noticed, because he gave short, curt answers to her when she tried to flirt. Eventually, she huffed, stood up, and left us alone.

"Wow, and they sat I'm the heartless one."I said
"I only want you. Not her."He said

I smiled softly, and started to chow down on my food.

Okay I will admit it, it was really bland. There was no spice in the pasta, and there was only heat in the rice salad, not spice. There is a damn difference between spice & heat. Although, the pomegranate drink wasn't that bad.

I look to Ace, who had already finished his steak meal & sake.

"Its bland."He whispered
"Yeah it is, should we have dessert at home?"I whispered
"Definitely."

We stood up, and left the restaurant, and headed back to the Moby dick.

"Thanks for taking me out, Ace-kun."I said
"Its nothing really. We haven't been on a date yet, and I wanted to take you so..."He said, eating his ice cream

"Ohhh you got ice cream on you."I said."Keep still, I'll get if off."

It was on his cheek. I went on my tip toes, and kissed his cheek, licking the cookies & cream off him. I felt him smile as I kissed him. I pulled away, and then he kissed me. I could taste cookies & cream. It literally was a sweet kiss.

I pulled away, his hand cupping my cheek.

"Is it wrong to say that I'm madly in love with you?"He asked
"No...no its not wrong. In fact...I'm in love with you too."
