Chapter 31:Itami's birthday

(A/N:Hon...the picture. I fucking want that for my next birthday. Like imagine its your birthday, you wake up Flawlessly, and then you look over, and you find Ace on your floor like that....or you find a Ace body pillow! *nosebleed* Nurufufufufufu~!)

Ace pov
"Distract her fool!"

I was pushed outside of the kitchen, and onto the deck. I saw that Itami was coming this way.

'Act natural!'

I quickly leaned myself on the wall, and tried to look like I was thinking. I heard Itami's high heeled foot steps come this way. I looked over to her, and smirked.

"Just the woman I've been looking for."I said
She giggled."What is it?"
I took her hand."Well..I was thinking of going out on the island...and taking you out on a date.."
She blushed, smiling at me."Do you wanna go now, or later?"
"Hmm..well how about we go later, at night. After all...I wanna take you out for a special treat."I whispered in her ear
"Is this part of my present for tomorrow?"She hummed
"I guess you could say that, sugar."
She giggled, and grabbed my hand."Okay...but I wanna kiss."
I chuckled, leaning in close to her."And you will get that kiss."

She giggled cheekily, and we closed the gap between us. I spun her around, and pushed her up against the wall. Her hands were locked behind my neck, while my hands were holding onto her hips. I felt her smile, and made our kiss more passionate.

I slowly pulled away."There..now go get your fine ass ready."
She giggled."Oh you better get your handsome ass back to work then, honey."

She slipped away from me, giving me one last cheeky stare before skipping off to do her own thing.

I chuckled to myself."Well, better do what the boss said."

*next day:Itami's birthday!*

Itami pov
I slowly woke up, and stretched my arms. I smiled to myself, raking my hands through my hair.

"Well whaddaya know? Its my birthday today.."I yawned.

I jumped out of bed, felt something under my feet. I look down & saw a trail of confetti that lead outside my door. I grinned, and quickly got myself changed in my regular outfit, and followed the trail.

As I followed the trail, I noticed that the ship was quiet...really quiet. Usually when I wake up there's at least some sort of commotion going on (like Ace accidentally setting something on fire or something). The colourful paper trail soon ended at the dining hall door. I grabbed the handle, and slowly opened the door.

'Maybe everyone is in here eating breakfast?'

But when I opened the door, the lights were off, and I couldn't see a thing! I reached over to the light switch, and switch on the light-

"SURPRISEE!"

I scared myself, and tripled over my own feet, landing on my ass. I look up, and saw that everyone was here. And there was a banner behind them that said:'Happy birthday/Halloween Itami!'

I grinned at them all."Oh my gosh you guys! You didn't have to do this!"
Marco laughed, and helped me up."Of course we had to, yoi! Its your birthday!"
I blushed."Yeah but-"
"And plus, you always help us out & do almost everything for us. You're really special to us."Thatch said
I felt tears spring into my eyes.

"Hey are you crying, yoi?"Marco asked
"No my eyes are sweating."I answered quickly
Izo laughed."Itami-chan you are crying."
"I-I'm not!"
"Pretty sure you are, yoi~!"Marco sang
I puffed out my cheeks."Bully!"

"Now now, thats not how you treat a lady on her birthday."Old man calls out
I grin, running over to the Old man."Pops!"
He pets my head."Happy birthday my lovely daughter."He handed me a wrapped present
I giggle."Thanks Old man!"

Before I could unwrap it, my eyes were suddenly covered by a pair of warm hands.

"Guess who?"A familiar voice asked

"Hmmm....is it man that's 6 foot tall, has a orange hat, walks around with no shirt on, has two tattoos, cutest pair of brown eyes, soft messy black hair, has freckles, and is a pyromanic named Ace?"

He laughed, and tilted my head up, and removed his hands. I saw a grinning Portgas D Ace, his smile brightening up my world.

"You got that completely right, my birthday girl."He chuckled

He sat down next to me, hiding something behind his back.

"Ne what you got there, polka dot?"I asked
He grinned mischievously."Your present! But its a surprise, and it won't be much of a surprise if I give it to you now."
"Oh whatever mister 'My present is last'!"I laughed

(A/N:Tbh i could sit here & write about her unwrapping, but I'm gonna list what she got, and then she what Ace got her)

It was amazing! The divisions had all given me things like make up, dresses, nail polish, weapons & books. Marco had given me a pair of black sunglasses & a coffee mug, Thatch had given me a cook book, Old man had bought me a pair of expensive looking thick golden ring earrings, while Haruta & Izo had put their money together, and gave me a beautiful dark blue kimono that had warm coloured flowers.

"One more present!"Haruta said
"Yeah from Ace & his division!"Thatch agreed

Aces division gave me a tiara...a real diamond & pearl tiara! I carefully put it in my hair,and squealed happily like a child.

"I'm a King!"I laughed
"But..don't you wanna be a Princess?"Haruta asked

My eyes lit up comically with golden sparkles.

"Then....I'm the Princess King!"I cheered

Ace laughed."Alrighty then, oh Princess King! Its my present now!"

I scooted next to him, and felt my grin grow in excitement. He was smiling back at me, and pulled out a small box that looked big enough to hold a piece of jewelry. He grabbed one of my hands, and put the box in my hand.

"Happy birthday, my lovely girlfriend."

I blushed, and opened the box up. My heart stopped as soon as I saw what was inside. My other hand went on my mouth as I stared at it with surprise.

"Ace its...its so beautiful!"I cried.

Inside the box was a golden heart locket that had a silver chain around the locket. It was about the size of a glue stick.

"Open it up."Ace said

I did so, and started grinning like a idiot, joyful tears flowing out of my eyes. The picture was of us on one of our first dates as a couple. I was laughing happily in the photo, while Ace was staring down at me with heart warming eyes. It looked like he was about to lean down & kiss me in the photo.

"Oh god..I don't know what to say!"I look at Ace with a tearfully happy smile."Ace, this is so beautiful! Thank you so much. Thank all of you! I'm so glad...I'm just so glad that I'm part of this crew!"

They all smiled at me, getting tears in their eyes themselves. Even Old man was tearing up a bit.

"You're precious to us Itami-sama!"
"We love you!"
"You're so kind & helpful to us!"
"And you're very beautiful! And flawless!"

I look over to Ace, who was smiling at me.

"You make us happy, Itami. And you make me happy as well. I'm so glad that out of every woman in the world, I got you, Lucifer D Roza Itami, the strongest & most beautiful woman."His smile became a dorky grin."I love you, Itami! Happy birthday my beloved."
