Chapter 48:Chill day

*a few weeks later*
Itami pov
I was slowly getting used to being the captain of the crew. I would sometimes wake up & go about my normal day, then I remember that I have 1,600 men to command, to have a meeting with 16 division commanders, sort & write paperwork, assign more paperwork to the same 16 mentioned division commanders & do many other things while keeping my relationship with Ace.

Although...thats usually on busy days.

"What a beautiful day.."I sighed, sitting back on a deck chair.

Today, is chill day/Friday.

I put my sunglasses on my eyes, and sat back, quietly yawning in my hand. I crossed my leg over the other, and stared up at the clear azure blue sky.

'I didn't realize how much of a work load the Old man would get sone days. Hell, I was probably only doing at least 2-3 tenths of his work! I probably wasn't much help to him at all...'

I shook that thought away with a frown.

'Its in the past now, Itami. You told yourself you weren't gonna dabble in the past so much now.'

I sighed deeply, and sat up, uncrossing my leg. I gently pushed back some of my hair, and stared at the ocean in front of me.

"Now that I think about it...I haven't called Mother since last week. I should definitely call her today."I said to myself

I stood up, and went back to my room to call Mother. I opened my door up, crashed onto my bed & got out my mini Transponder snail. I dialed Mothers number, and waited for her to pick up.

"Yes this is Queen Roza D Armalia of the Siren island Kingdon."

"Heey Mum its me, Itami."

"Itami dear! How are you?"

"Pretty good. Though...I just wanted a female to talk to, you know? Like being out here with the guys is great, but I still want some girls to talk to."I explained

"I completely understand, dear. Anyway, how are things? Are you & Ace still going strong?"

I giggled."Yeah, things are great! Still going strong with Ace. He does his best to help me being captain."

"Thats nice...he used to be a captain right?"

"Yeah thats right, until we beat his ass!"I laughed."Yeah he's really supportive. I'm so glad that I have a guy like Ace around with me. He..he gives me this sense of protection & calm, like wherever I go, I know that Ace'll be there to help me in a sticky situation."

I felt Mother smile on the other end.

"I'm equally happy for you that you're happy with Ace. I love hearing how much he brings you joy, and how much you really love him. It makes me so happy."

I smiled."Thanks Mother."

"Anyway..,,have you two done 'it' yet?"

I groaned."Mother!"

"What?! I just wanna know if he's taken your virginity yet!"

"This is really embarrassing.."

"Sorry sorry. But, I want to have Grandchildren, Itami. I'm getting old. I wanna see little people running around, playing happily."

"I understand...like I want to do it as well...but I feel like if I just go up to him & ask, then it won't feel right. Like there needs to be a certain mood.."I said

"I know what you mean, sweetie. Well I've got to go now, the Council is asking me for a meeting. I'll talk to you again, sprout."

"Bye Mother, love you!"

"I love you too, my little sprout."

We both hung up at the same time. I put my transponder snail back on my stand, and rolled onto my back, staring up at the ceiling.

I heard a knock on my door, I called out that it was open, and the door revealed Ace.

"I figured you'd be in here."He said, lying down next to me
"It is my room."I said
Ace cuddled me."I know that."

I could feel him kissing up my waist, stomach, all the way to my lips. I closed my eyes, and put on a pleasant smile as Ace kissed me.

"I miss you sometimes...when you're working."Ace murmurs to me
"I'm sorry that I've been so busy, Ace."
He kissed my lips again."Its alright. I understand why you're busy."He kissed my forehead.

We were caught in another passionate kiss with his lips on mine. It was soft, sweet, but still passionate. I smiled gently when Ace pulled me closer into our cuddle, and was being extra soft on me, as if he was afraid I would snap or something. He pulled away, and whispered in my ear.

"Aishiteru, Itami."
"Aishiteru, Ace."
