Chapter 72:Plan to kill Teach

(A/N:I promise, this is the last story arc, then I'll add a couple filler chapters, then the story is over! I absolutely promise it! Enjoy reading!)

Itami pov
I heard a knock on my office door. I look up from my paperwork.

"Enter."I commanded

And in walked Ace & Thatch, looking like that they have some info.

"We gained some info about Teach."Thatch said
"We found where him & his followers are based."Ace added, handing me the paper.

I took it, and skimmed my eyes over Aces handwriting. I set it down, and tapped my cheek thoughtfully.

"So according to your information, Teach is hiding out on Kajun island?"I asked
"Yes, M'lady. In fact, the next island we're coming up on is Kajun."Thatch said

I hummed."Well if that's the case, then we can catch him as soon as possible. But, if we were to do that, then we need to think up a plan first."I twirled a piece of my hair in my finger."So....we could probably dock near by Kajun island, but not right next to it. I'd say we could dock only just on the horizon of Kajun, and send out a handful of men to capture Teach."

I look at both men."Both of you, I would like for you to ask the division commanders if their division is still able & healthy. Then once you have done that, report back to me. From then on, I'll decide which divisions I'll have to come with me."

"Yes M'lady Captain!"

Thatch left the room first, before Ace left, he winked at me. I blushed & hid my face with a piece of paperwork, and heard him leave the room. I slouched & sighed, dropping the paper to the desk. I rubbed my eyes, and stared at the wall deep in thought.

'If we actually catch & kill Teach, then I will feel like I would've avenged Old man, Thatch & myself. I sure hope we get him this time-No...we WILL get him this time. He won't escape...I'll make sure of it.'

About a hour later, Ace came back in with his & Thatch's report about the divisions. I quickly read through them, and finally made the decision.

"So it seems that a quarter of the divisions are able enough."I murmured to myself
"Itami?"

I looked up, and gave Ace a look as if to carry on.
"What are you going to do? Are you going to go with the divisions?"Ace asked
"Of course. I gotta make sure that Teach is dead. If I don't, then I'll feel like I haven't avenged Old man."
"Then my division is going."
"Ace its not your decision-"
"I'm not letting you go without me. If I can't see you, then I can't protect you."
"Ace, you & I both know that I can protect myself with no problems."I said
He sighed."I know that...but I know that you get reckless & become carried away. Itami please...let me go.."
I sighed & raked my hand through my hair."Will it make you happy?"
"Yeah."
I sighed again."Alright, alright. You win. Your division can come with me."
"Thank you,"He smirked."M'lady Captain."

I stood up from my seat, and walked over to him. Ace out his hands on my shoulders.

"I'm doing this because I love you."He said to me.
"I know, I know. I understand. Now hurry up & kiss me, my lips are lonely."I joked
He chuckled."With pleasure."

Ace had already leaned in & stole the kiss away. I pouted as he pulled away, and quickly stole his kiss back. He chuckled at me, and held me closer to his muscular toned body. I pulled away, and winked at him.

"You're childish."Ace stated.
"Yeah but you're a 8 year old in a mans body."
"Touchee..."
I giggled & pecked his nose."Ace, since you're coming with me for this, I want you to promise me something."
"Anything for you."
I smiled lightly."Ace, no matter what, I want you to stay by my side."
"Of course, I'll always be by your side. Nothing can keep me away from you. You're my wife, and I'll never leave you."

I blushed when he mentioned the 'wife' part. Ace gave me a concerned look, and put his hand on my forehead.

"Are you sick? You feel hot."Ace pointed out
I giggled."No, no, I'm completely healthy. It's just..you called me your wife."
"You are my wife, I can call you that."
"I know, I know....but it makes me feel giddy & happy. I'm still trying to get used to it."I said
Ace chuckled."You're a dork."
"You're a dork as well."
"Itami, we're both dorks."
"Got that right, soul sister."

Ace soon left after that. I had quickly made the decision of choosing the remaining two divisions to come with Ace & I. In the end, I chose Marco & Jozu's division.

I tidied up my office, and went through the door to my bedroom. I had moved my stuff into the Old mans old room so that I can have the office. My old room is being used as a spare room now. I will admit, I miss my old room, but this new room is bigger than my old one.

Anyway, I had a quick shower, and went out on deck to socialize with the other crew members.
