Chapter 68:The big day, part 2

Third pov
The sun beamed down on the bride as her & Marco slowly walked out onto the aisle. Aces eyes were wide as soon as he saw Itami in her wedding gown. Over & over, he had to mentally slap himself, so that he wouldn't look like a idiot in front of Itami.

'She...she looks so..beautiful.'

Meanwhile, Itami had a small blush when she saw Aces expression. She was trying very hard to not faint on spot, and mess up the entire wedding.

'Okay calm down...you're almost there.'

She looked at Ace, and saw how grommed up he was. The traditional black tuxedo looked absolutely dashing on the Fire fist. The sunlight behind Ace made him look like he was a angel or something.

In the corner of his eye, Marco smirked at the the couples reaction. Marco always found the couple cute, but kept that thought to himself.

Finally, Itami had successfully made it to the end of the aisle, and was now holding Aces hands with gentle care. They both smiled at each other, before paying attention to Sabo (who was their sermon).

As Sabo slowly (and painfully) went through the ceremony, Itami & Ace couldn't help but steal glances at each other. They both couldn't keep their grins off their faces, and kept on saying:'We're getting married!' Over & over in their minds.

And so, the final moments finally came.

Ace smiled at Itami, and started reading his wedding vows.

"I promise to be your lover. Your ally in conflicts. Your companion & friend. To be your partner in parenthood. I'll always stay by your side, even if we're lost in a crazy maze. I promise to be your accomplice in mischief..that also includes pranking Marco & Thatch. And most of all, I solemnly swear that I will love you till my existence has never been heard of."

Itami quickly wiped away a tear, and smiled brightly at Ace. She quickly breathed in some air, and started saying her own vows.

"Portgas D Ace, I'll be there when you're screaming at me for adventure. I'll be there when you're horribly sick in bed to heal you. I'll be there as your support when you have fallen either physically, mentally or emotionally. I'll be there when you're trapped, and I'll show you the way out of anything. I'll be there when you're absolutely drunk out of your mind, and your tripping all over the place..yeah I'll be there to scold you when you have a hangover. I'll also be there to clean up after you when you make a mess. Ace...I'll be there for you when you need love. I'll be there to love you, to hug you, to kiss you, to cherish you, to care for you..I'll be there to be your wife, for now & forever."

The people in the crowd started to get a little bit glassy eyed. Armalia, was having trouble in keeping herself together, and had to wipe her eyes every 40 seconds. Akaoni & Casper were smiling as the wedding ceremony went on, as they were both happy for their best friend to finally get married to the man she loves.

Sabo grinned."Ace, will you take Itami, to have & to hold? To be there for her needs, wants & others? To cure her in sickness & health? To cherish her till you're both no longer on this world? To truly love her as the person she is?"

Ace smiled brightly at Itami."I do."

"And do you, Itami, will you take Ace, to have & to hold? To be there for his needs, wants & others? To cure him in sickness & health? To cherish him till you're both no longer on this world? To truly love him for who he is?"

Itami giggled."I do, I cam say that about a millions times if I could."

Sabo smiled."Then we can finally conclude this ceremony with the moment you've all been waiting for. I know pronounce you, husband & wife! You may now kiss the bride."

Before Itami could attack Ace with a kiss, Ace had already grabbed a hold of her, and dipped Itami to the ground. Itami squeaked out a quick:"Sweet Mother of Roger!" Before tangling her fingers behind Aces neck. Ace chuckled at her expression.

"Mine.."He whispered to her.

Ace leaned in, and finally kissed her. Itami smiled, and automatically kissed back. The crowd stood up, and cheered & clapped for the newly wedded couple.

The kissed that they shared opened up a new pathway for Itami & Ace. They're finally married, and are now going to tackle the world head on united as mind linked partners. A new journey awaits the two, and is very eager to challenge them.

Ace pulled away ever so gently, his face mere millimeters away from Itami's. He stared into her eyes, and smiled at her.

"You're mine, and I'm yours."He whsipered
"You got that right, Ace."She giggled
