Chapter 46:Escape

Itami pov
When we resurfaced, Mum & I did a Sirens song to grab Nagaro. Nagaro had came immediately, and grabbed the Moby Dick for us. Luckily, everyone was on board, and Ace & I could get on. Mum said that she'll take Luffy to Amazon Lily once they find Hancock-chan.

"Well, I'll see ya later Mother."I said, hugging her
"I definitely will. Try & visit Siren island some time. The citizens are eager to see you again."Mum said
"Okay, I will!"
She gave me a kiss on my forehead."I love you, Itami."
I smiled."I love you too, Mother."

With one final hug, Mum stepped away. We all quickly said our final good byes, and parted ways.

Immediately after we parted ways, the Marines started chasing us. They were all barking out orders, and cussing at each other. In a way, it was kind of funny to watch the whole thing, but we needed to escape, so I decided to take matters into my own hands.

"I'll be right back."I said
"Itami! Where are you going??"Thatch called out
I grin."To get rid of some Marines."

I jumped over to the back of the ship, putting myself in a safer position. There were at least 7 Marine ships chasing us, and they were all pissed off.

"Pitiful fools."I stated

I silently inhaled, activating my Siren charms, and started to sing.

"Tonight we are victorious."
"Champagne pouring over us."

"Double bubble disco queen,"

"I'm like a scarf trick,"
"It's all up the sleeve."

The Marines were blowin' away, and their ships were sinking. I smirked victoriously, and went back on deck.

"We're safe for now."I said."I think that until we officially escape Marineford, all divisions will await for orders from Old man."
"Yes Itami-sama!"

I went over to Old man, and saw that he wasn't in too condition. I gave the Old man a Motherly stare.

"Old man, are you alright?"I asked, making sure that no one else was around.
"I should be fine, Itami."He breathed
"No you're not Old man. We need to get you back with the nurses so that we can heal you back up."I said
"No, Itami."He knelt down to me."Itami you cannot tell anyone of what I'm about to say to you next."
I nod in understanding.

Old man leaned down & whispered:

"Itami, I am dying."

My eyes went wide. I didn't know how I was supposed to react. I remember how he had told me that if he says this to me, then he really is dying.

But now that its happening now...

"W-what?!"
He smiled weakly."Itami...when I die, I want you to be captain. I'm pretty sure you're fit enough to be captain."
"But Old man!-"
"Shhh...I know its hard, but remember what I had told you."
"B-but...Old man you're dying. I'm going to lose my Father in a day or so.."I whimpered quietly
"It's okay, Itami. Even when I'm dead, I'll always take care of you. You still have Marco, Ace, and the rest of the crew."

I wiped a tear."Y-yeah!"

Before I could day anything else, Marco had come & hugged me in a brotherly way.

"We did it, yoi! We got Ace back!"Marco cheered
The whole crew came out on deck, all celebrating with Ace.

"Yahoo! We did it!"

I looked worriedly over to Old man, who gave me a look, as if to say that I should party with the crew. I put on a smile, and happily goofed off with the guys.

"Itami!"

I felt hands cover my eyes.

"Guess who?"

I smiled happily."Is it Ace?"

Ace laughed & took his hands away. He picked me up by my legs. I wrapped them around his torso, and had my hands locked around the back of his neck. I saw Ace smile brightly, and laughed with everyone else.

"I missed you so much."He whispered
"I missed you too, Ace."I whispered

And after what felt like forever, we had finally kissed. My eyes were knitted shut as Ace & I kissed passionately. The guys were cheering in the background, but it seemed like it was muted our as I kissed Ace.

'I missed his kisses. They were so passionate...soft & loving. I missed having my fingers in the waves of his messy black hair. I missed his warmth on my body. I missed all of him.'

His lips were still soft, and still had that apple taste. I felt him smile in our kiss, and held me closer to his body.

We pulled away, smiling at each other. I laughed & leaned his forehead on his, a soft, pleasant  smile on my lips. His breath fanned my lips, gently brushing me.

"I love you, Itami."
"I love you, Ace."
