February...

"Thank you! Come again!" I called as cheerily as I could as the edlerly couple walked out the door togerher. They waved goodbye as they always did. I smiled until they had disappeared out the door. But as soon as they left, it was gone. Erased from my face like it had never been there in the first place. I quickly ran to the back to check my phone.

"Nothing," I whispered as I stared at my empty message box. I ran my finger down the picture of Oli's smile. I hadn't changed my wallpaper. It was the only thing I had of him left...

The bell at the door rang, announcing the arival of another customer. I threw my phone down and quickly ran to the front.

"Hello and welcome to-" I started, but I stopped when I saw who it was.

"Oh, hey Cass," I whispered. She frowned and came around the counter.

"Nice to see you to, Brodie. I'm fine, thanks for asking. And no, I don'y want any thing, only a happier best friend because this depressed one is no fun," Cassie snapped. I didn't respond. I knew she meant well, but it was hard to be happy when the love of my life wouldn't even respond to my phone calls...

"You're not the only one who is hurt, you know," she whispered. "Jona won't talk to me either," she said. I knew she was hurting too. For some reason, Jona stopped talking to her for no reason.

"I'm worried about him," I said. She nodded.

"He was so bad before we left, and now I'm super worried," she whispered. A single tear fell down her face. I reached over and took her hand in mine. I gave me a small sad smile.

"When do you get off? I need girl time," she whined. The old Cassie came back, the sad one gone in an instant.

"In a few hours. What did you have in mind?" I asked. I grabbed the wash rag and began wiping down the counters of their crumbs. Cassie thought for a few minutes. I smiled. She might want girl time, but she never jnew what exactly she wanted.

"Movies? Then dinner and ice cream at my place?" she asked with a small smile.

"It's your turn to cook anyway," I said. Cassie and I had decided to move in together when we got back. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I had gotten used to her while living at Marci's, and we decided to keep it up by getting an apartment together. She smirked.

"You get dishes then," she said. She jumped off her pearch on the counter and walked over and kissed me on the cheeck. Then she looked at me seiously.

"They'll come around, Brod. They have to," she whispered. I nodded and walked over to the tiny tables that lined the big window and began wiping them down. Cassie sighed and left the shop. I knew I was acting immature. But I hadn't heard from anyone. The guys froom AA were on another tour, and they habn't had time to contact me. For some reason, Lee, Matt and Matty weren't talking to me either...

The bell rang again. I smiled. The post man was here, delivering today's mail.

"Here you are, Miss Bryant," he said, handing me a small stack of envelopes.

"Thank you," I said. He smiled and tipped his hat and left. I se the mail down in the small basket that Haddie kept her mail in and went and sat back behind the counter. I started reading my book again as I usually did when there wasn't anyone in the coffee shop.

-----------

"Ready to head home for today?" Haddie asked. I smiled and nodded and slipped into my leather jacket. She smiled warmly at me.

"Any plans for tonight?" she asked, a sparkle in her eyes.

"I have a date with my best friend," I said. I went to the back and grabbed my bag and my phone. I didn't bother checking it. i knew nothing would be there. I came back out and found Haddie standing where I left her, a confused look on her face.

"Isn't your best friend Cassie?" she asked. I couldn't help but to laugh.

"Yes. We're just hanging out tonight, since we both don't have.." I started to day, but my throat got tight. To say Oli wasn't my boyfriend would shatter my world already.

"Have a life," I finished instead. She looked at my strangely, but didn't say anything. She gave me a small smile. I started heading towards the door to head to my car and meet Cassie at the movies.

"Wait, honey!" Haddie called. I turned to look at her. She had a small envelope in her hands. She waddled over to me and placed it in my hands.

"This came for you, not the store. Have a great rest of the evening!" she called. I smiled my thanks and stuffed the envelope in my bag. I zipped up my jacket and stepped out into the cool evening air.

My little blue mustang was parked around the corner. I loved it. I know mustangs should be nice and shiny, even if they are old, but I loved how beat up and worn mine was. I climbed inside and slammed the door shut.

Cassie and I were meeting at the theater. We were going to see Warm Bodies. I had wanted to see this movie ever since I saw the movie posters back in December. I felt my heart tense up again. December was the last time I actually talked to Oli. But it wasn't a nice phone call. He still wasn't over me leaving.. And he sounded so different.. So far away..

I shook myself of the thoughts. Oli would come around, right?

I pulled up to the movie theater. Cassie was standing out front, tapping her foot impatiently. I sighed and hung my head. I was only five minutes late, but to Cassie, you would have thought I was five hours late.

"Where the hell were you?" her icy words were flung at me as soon as I was close enough.

"Cass, we live in the city. We have traffic. I left on time, but I can't help it when the cars in front of me don't follow the speed limit," I said. She rolled her eyes and drug me inside.

We spilt the prices so one person didn't have to pay. I bought the popcorn and she bought the drinks. We found a seat at the top of the crowded theater.

"This good?" I whispered. She nodded and sat down. Then she pulled out her phone and checked it again. Her disappointed face told me she had no luck either. I still hadn't checked mine since I got off work. Why bother?

"Hey," a girl's voice whispered next to me. I glared over in her direction. The credits were starting, and I didn't want to be distrubed.

"What?" I hissed. The girl next to me smiled at me.

"You're Brodie Bryant, huh?" she whispered. I gave her a questioning look.

"Yeah. Why?"

"You are dating Oliver Sykes," she said. I tried not to show the saddness on my face as I nodded. She unzipped her jacket to reveal a BMTH t-shirt. I couldn't help but to smile.

"I really like those guys. They saved my life. I wish you and Oli would get back together though," she whispered. I gave her another sad nod. She smiled and sat back in her seat. I sat back and tried to concentrate on the movie, but my mind was to upset. I knew things were bad between Oli and I, but I didn't know it was bad enough to make his fans notice. I had been ingoring all the new interviews and magazins that talked about Bring Me The Horizon. I couldn't bare to see what was inside, and what he was saying.

Tears streamed down my face. I felt Cassie's hand rest on my leg.

"Do you want to go?" she whispered. I shook my head.

"No. It'll just make things worse," I said. She gave my a sympathetic look and turned back to the movie. I did the same, but all I could think about was Oli...
