I tapped anxiously at the counter top. Haddie was running late, and I needed to get home and clean. The guys from AA were stopping by to say goodbye before they went back to home England now that the tour was over.

I quickly topped off the few cups of coffee belonging to the customers in the shop. It was late evening, so there really wasn't a lot of people here.

But what was taking Haddie so long? I knew the guys would be here within the hour, and the house was a wreck. I hadn't bothered cleaning since it was only me living there. I felt so alone without Cassie. Everything seemed so much harder now that she was gone. She did call me back a few days ago to report everything was okay in Australia with Jona. He had started back up with his former band, I Killed the Prom Queen, and they both seemed to be doing fine. But I knew that my friendship was over with them. Niether of them seemed to show any interest in being friends again anyway.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, Haddie came sauntering in.

"So sorry dear, little tussle came up at home," she said. I smiled and shook my head,

"It's okay, no big deal. But I do have to get going. Got some house work to do," I said. I waved goodbye to the customers and quickly darted out the door.

My car was parked father away than it usually was. There had been a lot of early morning traffic today, so it was in the next garage over. I quickly ran to it as fast as I could. The coffee shop wasn't in a bad neighborhood, but I did not want to be caught alone tonight.

Heavy snow began to fall. I shivered slightly and zipped up my jacket, trying to keep warm. The garage that my car was parked was just a few steps away. I walked quickly towards the steps of the second level. My blue mustage was waiting for me. There was no one else in the garage, which I was thankful for.

The heater in my car no longer worked after my accident, but I didn't bother getting it fixed. My mom had already thrown the biggest bitch fit about me wrecking her mailbox, but I didn't care. I wasn't going to let her bad attitude get me down. Ever since i found out Oli was moving to America, things had seemed to get better. My mom didn't understand one bit. She thought I was throwing my life away for Oli, but she didn't understand, and I wasn't about to let her get in the way of it.

I drove along the deserted streets of downtown. The snow began to fall down in thicker clumps. I shivered again, itching to drive faster to get home to my apartment, but after my recent brush with death, I decided it would be best to tough out the cold and drive the speed limit.

A car that seemed to come out of no where was suddenly right on my tail. I sighed and squinted my eyes as I tried to see, but the drivers blinding lights were making it difficult. The glare from them hitting my mirror shone right into my eyes.

"Get of my ass, jerk," I muttered. I slowed down slightly, hoping that my even slower pace would do the trick. But it didn't. The car kept right on my tail.

"Fucker," I muttered. I pulled into the turn lane, not the usual route for me to take, but anything was better than this guy riding my ass.

The car followed. I gripped the steering wheel tightly as I turned, but I kept my cool. I drove slowly inthe directtion of my house, hoping maybe it was just some jerk trying to be funny.

I knew I was almost to my house, but the car was still following me. I sighed heavily, trying to calm my rapidly beating heart. My driveway was just a few yards away. I quickly pulled forward and parked as fast as i could. To my surprise, the car quickly flew past my house, not even stopping. I stared after it, trying to figure out what had just happened.

"Whatever," I muttered. I quickly grabbed my bag and headed for the door. Warm air wrapped around me as I stepped inside. I sighed happily as i tossed my things to the ground. I sunk into the couch and kicked my feet up.
