The Pain Of Letting Go

I found someone to trust,
I trusted them.

I found someone to love,
I loved them.

I found protection,
It was false.

I can't breath,
Tears stream down my face.

I am not as good as you'd think,
That's why everyone leaves.

I hold on tight,
I felt close.

I can't let go.
I can't hold on.

The pain of falling in love is scary,
It seems real.

The pain of letting go is dreadful,
It burns.

My heart aches,
It is shattered.

My arms are dripping,
They are stained red.

The pain of letting go brings attention to yourself,
But you have to.

The pain of letting go is hard to handle,
It is too much.

Why can't the pain stop now?
Why can't I get rid of the pain...

Because it is the Pain Of Letting Go.
