Where I Belong

I don't fit in,
I am the misplaced puzzle piece.

I am too violent,
I cause accidents.

I am loved,
But I cannot love.

I don't belong here,
Where I can hurt others.

I belong somewhere I fit in,
Where I can't hurt anyone.

Where I am understood by more than one person,
I can live longer.

I continue to hold this blade against my skin,
Yet I never break the surface.

This is not my home,
My life.

I do not have family,
But do I have friends?

In someone's arms I do not belong,
They are too soft.

In someone's heart I do not belong,
I am too cold.

In someone's life I do not belong,
I am far too lonely to change.

When I die is not of your knowledge.
When I scream is not of your worries.

Where I call home is none of your business...
Because....

This isn't where I belong.
