We Are Friends

If we stay up for 8 hours just talking and singing to one another,
We are friends.

If we message each other every other day,
We are friends.

If I care enough to stay up to calm your nerves or let you talk,
We are friends.

If I make you happy about who you are and you do the same for me,
We are friends.

If I stay up until 4:20 am with you because you don't want to be alone,
We are friends.

If it's 2:20 am where you are and you try to stay awake for me,
We are friends.

When you ask me for different tips and I answer you honestly and fully,
We are friends.

If I am half asleep and still manage to carry a conversation and play a video game with you,
We are friends.

It's 4:30 am.
I have been talking to you since 8 pm.
We have known each other for almost a year.

We are friends.

Author's Note: sorry, I know it's kinda short. This is about a friend of mine whom I call Unit 20-05. I'm really tired. I figured I should post a poem or something. Goodnight.
