Lies

"Goodnight. See you tomorrow."
'I don't want to sleep.'

"Fine, I'll eat lunch."
'No, I'll wait until you leave before I throw my food away.'

"I'm not really self conscious about my torso, so I don't care about showing it."
'I really hate my entire body, I just want to get used to it.'

"I don't care if you mess up my hair."
'Please, stop. I tried so hard to look like this and to get it to stay like that. Don't mess it up.'

"I'm fine without any of them."
'Impossible. I need them to survive, I don't know how I'll be an adult if I can't lose my high school best friends.'

"I'm not hungry, I already ate."
'I'm starving, but I have to wait until dinner. One meal a day is good enough for me.'

These words that leave my mouth are lies. I can't tell the truth for some reason. I can't keep up all these lies.
