Humans Can Be Soothing

Have you ever watched someone fall asleep when they were trying so hard to stay awake? I have, and I find it calming. It soothes me how someone cares so much that they refuse to fall asleep so you aren't lonely and then they fall into that adorable trance you realize there are people out there that still care. No matter how many times they have lied to you because they didn't want you to know the truth, you still find it calming that they can sleep after lying to your face, thinking you believe the entire lie. But you never tell them because you understand. I love how we can find pain in so much when we try in so little. And how people work all day, but refuse to sleep because they care about someone's loneliness, yet they fall asleep because of the strain. I have good friends. Good family. I won't hesitate to defend them. Even if one is braver than me, I will defend him just so he doesn't get hurt and leave his loved one all alone. I will take the bullet, accept the blade with a horrible scream, jump into the noose with horror filling my body, and even swim with sharks in bloody water... I would do a lot for them. If someone threatened either of them, there wouldn't be much hesitation.
