A Months Notice

Chapter One

Jack continued to walk around the place and check out the maids . He was an arrogant little son of a gun . He was extremely handsome and everyone knew that , Jack used their knowledge to his advantage. He was 6'4 , 200 pounds ... And not because of fat but his muscles. He had striking blue eyes , and perfect black hair . His jaw line was so sharp you could cut an apple with it . He was 25 and very rich and powerful .

"Jackson ?" He turned and head and saw his stepmother Medda.

Medda had been his mother since he was 4 years old after his mother died when he was 1 and his father remarried .

"Hi mom " Jack said . "Why are you not at your meeting with parliament ? You'll be king in less than two months young man !" "Mom ! I'm fine ! Besides think about it , it's King I don't do anything just have a face for parliament!" "Oh Jackson Andrew Victor Marcus Kelly ! Your father would roll around his grave if you say thy again !" Medda said snapping her fan and flicking it at his arm . "Mom ! I'm 25 ! I'm a grown man I can do what I want !" "Really ? What if I refuse to give up my crown ?!" "Mom ! " "listen ! You want this crown go up to parliament! " "yes mom " Jack said and marched up to parliament.

"Ah , here's the young prince !" "Gentlemen, good afternoon " Jack said taking a seat. "So wonderful for you to join us . Anyway Prince Jack as you know your 25" "yes ?" "And you will be king in less than two months  ." "I know " "know here's the major news. You need to be married !" "What ?" Jack said practicality jumping out of his seat in shock . "You are to marry , Prince Jack it's law !" "For women !" "No Prince Jack , Quinn's law ; no woman or man of royal decent is to govern the people without a king or queen at his or her side " one man said . "Okay , so what ? Go get married ! In less than two months  ?" "Yes !" "How ?" "Prince Jack there is women all around practically dropping themselves at your feet ! It can't be that hard " "Ugh ! Fine !" Jack said and walked out .

He ran out of back gates and quickly climbed the fence . He ran as fast as his legs could carry him .

Enter Katherine Pulitzer.

Princess Katherine Pulitzer. Katherine sat down with her father and his business partner and her boyfriend Darcy . She was currently pouring the tea into the cups . She poured them into the white and gold cups and sat down next to Darcy . He put his hand on hers and she smiled at him . "Now children " "Daddy ! We're not children !" She said squeezing the 18 year old Darcy Mellows hand . "Anyway , there is a war going in -" "Yes daddy I'm aware " "and we have some allies ..... But , dear . Oh it pains me to tell you this , tell you both this , but .... Katherine is to be married to the King of England " her father said . Katherine gasped and Darcy grew red with anger .

"Dad ! He's a 41 year old man who smells like rum and biscuits!" "He's the one allele we don't have ! Besides New York and I refuse to marry you to some arrogant Prince !" "How about I don't marry any of them and marry Darcy ?" "Katherine, Darcy is a wonderful young man but he is not of Royal decent !" "But his father is the head of parliament!" Katherine said . Darcy just held her hand and grunted . "Listen children , I get your in love and all but Katherine it is your duty !" "I refuse !" "Refuse and watch your people riot against you !" Pulitzer said at the top of his lungs. Katherine stood up and ran out of there . "Kath ! Wait !" Darcy said . Katherine ran out of the palace .

Boom ! Crash ! Hit ! Snap ! Ow !

"Hey ! Watch where your going !" A female voice said . Jack looked up and he saw a girl with a tattered dress and a leave or two in her hair . "Sorry ! " he said annoyed as her . "Why are you out here ? This is New York Territory! Are you a New Yorker ?" Jack asked thankful he had taken off his crown before . "No ! And this is not New York ! This is Pennsylvania territory !" Katherine said happy she doesn't wear her crown around Darcy.

"Well what are you doing here ?" Jack said "I could ask you the same thing !" "Well I'm running away , which I assume your doing too " "excuse me ? Said who ?" "I could tell " he said smirking. "Well if you must now I had to get away from someone for a moment . And it's not running away " "is too " "is not !" Katherine said "I don't even know you !" She added "well same here sweetheart " "don't call me that !" She said and walked . "Sure sure " Jack said . She was a feisty one , he'd give her that . Jack then realized if he didn't make a pass at her he was no longer himself ..... So that he did. "Did it hurt ?" "What ?" "When you fell from heaven?" Jack said smirking at her and looking her up and down . "No , I scraped my knee digging my way up from hell , still got some dirt under my nails " Katherine said flipping her hair . Jack looked at the girl, still didn't know here name . "Why are you here ?" "Same reason you are " Katherine said . "But -" "bye " she said and ran back home .
