A Months Notice

Chapter Sixty

Katherine checked on the young children . They seemed to all be playing along nicely.

She smiled and went to one of the tea rooms . She looked out the large window and saw Jack on the phone with someone , clearly annoyed . Her hand laid on the curtain but couldn't seem to close it . She liked watching him get so passionate.

"Te még mindig olyan szép, mint te öt évvel ezelőtt , drága Katherine" was whispered in her ear . Katherine turned around and saw Darcy smirking .

"Darcy ... Can I help you with something?" She asked .

"Yes " he said and he closed the curtain . Her heart started to beat faster .

"Darcy what do you want ?" She asked taking a step back .

"Some answers "

"What type of answers ?"

"Answers .... Why are you happy with him ? Are you blind ? The man is older than you by 10 years and he also -"

"I don't care Darcy ! He is my husband and I love him ! We have two beautiful children... I'm happy .... He's happy .... We're all happy !"

"Katherine, what about you and me ?"

"You and I ended a long time ago ... -"

"Only because you had to marry him !" Darcy said .

"I know that .... But over the corse of me losing a child and Victoria I fell in love with him as he supported me !"

"Katherine.-"

"Darcy I think it's best if your family leaves ..."

"Katherine, no , we'll pull out of the deal and watch New York fight and lose against China .... Don't think I won't " Darcy smirked .

"Fine stay then .... But don't you dare try anything " Katherine said and walked off .

She huffed away till she found Jack . Angelica was sitting on his knee crying .

"It's hurts daddy !" She said tears coming down her face .

"I know Angie ... Miss Clara went to get you a bandaid " Jack said holding her . Katherine walked to them .

"What happened ?" She asked kneeling down to their level.

"The kids wanted to play chase and well.... She tripped over her dress ... She scraped her knee and came limping to me" Jack said holding his daughter.

"Oh ... Can I see it ?" Katherine asked . Angelica nodded and moved her dress to be knee where it was all bloody ."oh Angie .... Your gonna be okay ... Just a small boo boo " Katherine said in attempts to calm down the screaming four year older .

"I'm back " Clara said with a first aid kit.
"Okay now deary, I'm gonna wash your cut then spray it so it won't get yucky " Clara said and went to grab a wipe .

She wiped her knee and Angelica began to cry . Jack held her close and kissed her forehead .
"Shhh , it's okay "

Then Clara grabbed the spray . "You may wanna hold her still it's gonna sting " she warned . Katherine moved to her daughter to hold her hand .

Clara sprayed her knee and she began to cry even more . "No , shhh , don't cry your almost done" Jack said .

Clara grabbed a bandaid and placed it on her knee ."there all better ..."
Clara said and left .

"Mommy ? Will you kiss it better ?" She asked . Katherine kissed her knee . "Daddy too ?" She asked Jack looking up at him with her big blue eyes . Jack kissed her knee and then they hugged her tight .

Angelica then ran off to play with the other children . "You spoil her " Katherine said .

Jack rolled his eyes and kissed her . Katherine was happy in his embrace. He had strong arms that could protect her and their two beautiful children.

Katherine knew Jack would take a bullet for those kids . He called them his "miracles " yet Katherine was "the angel who came to save me " .

Katherine was his ace. Angelica was his little Angel . In fact Jack looked it up and Angelica meant "Little Angel " and he used that for an excuse even though Katherine knew he just liked being a father .  Christopher was jacks shadow .

It was funny to see Jack sitting at the breakfast table reading a paper even though Katherine would scold him . And little Christopher would be there reading "Cat in the Hat" or "Green Eggs and Ham" .

Or when Jack and Chris walked they had the same stance . "Jack ?" Katherine asked .

"Yeah ?"

"Do you ever wonder what our lives would be like if we never fell in love ? And he we just were horribly fighting ?"

Okay so I have unpolished :Miss Pulitzer ? Your Majesty because I like need to work on the story line okay ?

Also the next chapter or so might be in italics because it will be ! I think it will be cool to have Katherine and Jack imagined if they never confessed their love ! What do y'all think ?
