Chapter Sixty-Four

"I would never wanna think about a world where I never fell in love with you" Jack said . Katherine smiled at him .

"So ... I need to talk to you " Katherine said as she sat down on the bed in their room .

"About ?" Jack asked undoing his tie .

"King Darcy ... He and I used to date ... When .... Before I was told I was going to marry you ... I was in love with him ... And well ... When we've kissed before ... And now he asked me why I chose you and ... He threatened that if I tell you they'll back out of the deal "

"Katherine-"

"Don't leave me alone with him " Katherine said holding onto his arm .

"I won't ... I promise " Jack said and kissed her . She undid his tie and smiled at him.

"You know ... I love you " Katherine said .

"I love you too "

"Mamma ! Mommy !" Christopher yelled throughout the night . Katherine sat up and threw her robe on , running to his room .

"Chris ? Christopher what's wrong ?" Katherine asked turning the light on and picking him up .

"I had a scary dream " he cried into her shoulder .

"Oh , come sleep with daddy and me okay ?"

"But ... I'm suppose to be a big boy " he said all tearyer eyed . Katherine picked him and carried him .

"Even big boys need their mommies sometimes " Katherine said and carried him in the bed . She placed him in between her and Jack .

She held him close and ran her fingers through his hair until he fell asleep .

Katherine woke up and took a shore . It was still dark outside . She had a meeting .

She was going to be discussing the new children laws being put into place and she had to get ready .

Jack woke up and noticed the little boy in dinosaur pajamas. He sat up and noticed that Katherine wasn't in bed .

He walked off to the bathroom and saw her trying to tie her own corset .
"Kath ? What are you doing up so early ?" Jack asked coming behind her to tie her corset for her .

"I have a meeting ... " she said as he tied her some more .

"When did we get a stowaway in our bed ?" Jack asked her .

"He has a bad dream ... So I brought him to our bed ... I didn't want him scared ... Anyway I talked to parliament and my new law is gonna be all they're working on this week ... So I'll be up in the morning while you stay home with the kids...Is that okay ?" Katherine asked .

"It's fine ... You should get dressed " Jack said . She got dressed

Jack was sitting in the living room watching some of the news and typing up a report . His door opened and a little girl with hair all over came in the room . Angelica sat next to Jack on the couch and hugged him.

"Good morning daddy " she said and kissed his cheek .

"Morning Angel ... " he said and typed some more .

"Daddy ? Where mommy ? She's usually here in the mornings while your at work "

"Mommy has to work all week but I'll be with you two ... " Jack said and pulled her on his lap . He began to pull her hair to put it in a ponytail .

"Where's Topher ?" She asked him when he sat her back down .

"He's sleeping in my bed "

"How come ?" She asked .

"He didn't sleep well last night ... " Jack said .

"Daddy ! I'm hungry ! " she said pointing to her belly .

"Go wake up your brother  and well go eat okay ?"

"Okay daddy " she said and ran to his bed . She woke up her brother and they came out .

"Okay , let's eat " Jack said and picked up Christopher and held Angelica's hand as they walked to the dining hall .

The three sat down and ate their meal . The twins asked Jack about his crown and when Chris and Angelica could be older enough to go to a ball .

Katherine walked in the dining hall to see them all laughing . "MOMMY !" The two little ones yelled and ran to Katherine.

She hugged them and kissed them both and sent them back to eat . Katherine came and kissed Jack .

"How's your meeting going ?" Jack asked running his hand up and down her side .

"Okay ... Darcy is helping sadly ... But it's for unfortunate children so I'll allow it" she said her hand on his shoulder .

"You know ... It's strange not to be up working .... I had time to do stuff ... I even learned to ponytail Angelica's hair "

"Very good ... Maybe tomorrow you can braid it " she said . "Kids go get washed up ... Baths ... Go find your nanny " Katherine said . They giggled and left .

Katherine sat down on jacks lap . "I'm so sick of Darcy ... He keeps trying to be like 'as a team ' and 'perfect pair ' it's making me sick ! God!" Katherine said . Jack pulled her down and began to kiss her .

She kissed back running her hands through his hair .

"Katherine! They need us !" Darcy said walking in . Katherine sighed .

"I'll be right there " she said and Darcy left . She kissed him one more time "well finish this later " she said and walked off .
