A Months Notice

Chapter Fifty-Seven

Jack paced back and forth in the room .

"Mr. Kelly ?" The doctor said . Jack ran to the doctor quickly .

"How is ? Is she alive ? Is she okay ? Please tell me she's okay -"

"She's fine ... She should be waking up soon ... We'll have the results in w couple hours ... You can go in and see her if you want " the doctor smiled .

"Thank you " Jack said shaking his hand . Jack walked into Katherine's room and heard her heart beat and saw an IV in her veins .

She began to stir and mumble and finally she woke up . Jack was the first thing she saw and she smiled at him .

"Hi " Jack said softly kissing her forehead.

"Hi ... My side hurts " Katherine said . Jack pulled a chair to sit and held her hand .

"They said it would ... The removed an organ Katherine... They should have the results in an couple hours ... You can go back to sleep honey " Jack said .

"Yeah ? I wanna talk to the kids " Katherine said Jack nodded and pulled out his phone .

"Hello ? Hi Angie , Hi Chris .... It's mommy .... I'm awake now okay ? Are you being good ..... Angelica ! ..... Okay .... I love you too ..... Really ?? ..... You drew that ? Be sure to save it for daddy to see okay ? ..... Good ..... I've gotta go now babies .... I'll call you later .... I love you both so much ..... Bye bye " Katherine said and hung up .

"Everything okay ?" Jack asked .

"Yeah ... They've been coloring ... Are you gonna be mad if we can't have another baby ?"

"No ... I have two ... One beautiful little girl who is so much like you it's crazy and one handsome little boy who just as crazy as you .... I love them both .... And I have one of each .... " Jack said .

"You know ... I don't forget about the baby we lost " Katherine said looking at her IV.

"Me either ... I'm sure that baby is happy " Jack said

"Why ?" Katherine asked

"They're up in heaven ... Maybe God needed the baby there ... I think that our first pregnancy's baby is our kids guardian angel."

"Me too ...." Katherine said . Jack and Katherine talked for a while until she began to fall asleep .

Jack took this opportunity to draw her. He had been only drawings the twins for some time . He found it fun to draw his wife again .

The doctor knocked on the door . Katherine woke up and Jack held her hand .

"Hello " the doctor said . They both mumbled back hi's .... They were so scared .

"How is she ? Did you get the right one ?" Jack asked

"We did ... We ran the test a second time to check.... Your all good ... " the doctor said . Katherine sighed and Jack hugged her .

"Does that mean we can have another baby ?" Katherine asked hopefully .

"Yes ... It will be difficult... You have only one ovary ... So you will get your period every other month... However I do suggest waiting to try ... Just a month or so ... So in a month come back .... Well take some x-rays and just double check .... Other than that your ready to go home whenever " the doctor said . Jack came and hugged the doctor .

"Thank you " he said to the doctor . The doctor smiled and left .

"Your okay " Jack said cupping her face and kissing her .

"I know ... I was pretty scared " Katherine sighed

"Me too ... So you ready to go ? Just get dressed ? And we'll go home ... You can sleep in your own bed in your own home ?" Jack asked .

"Yeah .... Let me just get dressed " she said . Jack helped her up and she left to get changed .

They walked out of the hospital and they're were camera crews and paparazzi.

People shouted thing . While Jack just held her closer. The got into the car and were on their way home .

"I'm sore Jack " Katherine said placing her hand on her side .

"I know .... They said you would be for a while ... As soon as we get home your going to bed to rest " Jack said to .

Katherine nodded smiling and kissed him. "Thank you for staying by my side ....-"

"Why would I ever leave your side ?" Jack asked

"I don't know .... The fact that I couldn't give you another baby ....I've always failed in the birthing department "

"I would never ... Ever ! Leave you Katherine.... Your such an amazing person.... I love you .... I love you more that anything in the world besides the twins !" Jack said

"For sure ?" She asked .

"For sure !" Jack said taking her hand and kissing her lips .
