A Months Notice

Chapter Fifteen

Katherine continued to shiver during the night .

True she had on a robe and tons of blankets . Jack was getting annoyed . She was shaking and it messed up his sleeping .

Jack then grabbed her shoulders. Her eyes shot open. Jack pulled Katherine to him and he held her close .

Katherine could hear the thump thump of his heart beating . She closed her eyes and enjoyed the warmth Jack gave off .

Jack put his hand on her head . Even though her eyes were closed she could just imagine the image of them .

His hand softly pet the curl of her hair . She could feel the almost butterflies flitter in her stomach ..... Hopefully not a baby ...

Katherine's hand was resting upon his chest in the most appropriate fashion.

Jack woke up at his normal time, yet he couldn't bring himself to let go of Katherine....

He liked holding onto her . She was asleep still and jacks arms refused to let go of her . Maybe a relationship would start but this was the only thing on his mind .

Katherine made a small noise and moved . Jack didn't want Katherine to know he'd been staring so he closed his eyes .

He felt a hand skim across his jaw . And then Katherine moved in closer .

It was so sweet and so blissful he didn't want to move .

There was a knock at their door . But neither of them "woke up " .

Clara came in .
"Your majesties..... It's time to wake up ! Breakfast is in an hour " Clara said and then shut the door .

They both opened their eyes at the same time .

They looked at their current situation. Jack seemed to have had his hand around her waist rather than on it . And Katherine's hand was on jacks chest somewhat holding onto his shirt .

They both let go and sat up .

"It was really cold last night " Jack said breaking the ice.

"It was ....-"

"There a fire place ..... I could put it on tonight ... If your cold " Jack said getting up and grabbing the television remote.

"That would be great thank you " Katherine said .

Jack went to take a shower and Katherine choose her dress . The two finished and they
walked to the finding hall .

After breakfast Jack went to his office . Katherine went Jack to their room and had nothing to do .

There was nothing more she wanted in the world than human interaction.

"Katherine?" Clara called walking in her room .

BINGO !

"Yes ?" Katherine asked slipping her shoes back on .

"Jack would like  to see you .. He says he's something important " Clara said .

"Do you know what it's about ?"Katherine asked

"No , I'm sorry " Clara said and left the room .

Katherine sighed and moved her hand over her dress and walked up to jacks office .

Katherine knocked on the mahogany door. "Come in " Jack said from inside .

Katherine walked in and Jack was currently typing.

"Clara told me you wanted to see me " Katherine said . Jack pointed to the chair and she sat down .

"Hi then " Jack said obviously annoyed at Katherine's lack of manners .

"Oh , I'm sorry ... Hello Jack " Katherine said , her eyes had a small watery cover over them . she then looked down at her hands .

"No , I was only joking ..... Don't . Don't cry Katherine. God ,,, I didn't mean . I was only joking .... Katherine I'm sorry . I shouldn't have done that " Jack said as he walked over to her and kneeled down to her level .

"It's okay .... I guess I better learn how to take a joke " Katherine said sniffling .

"Or I should learn how to deliver one " Jack said under his breath .

"What ? What was that ? Did you say something ?" Katherine asked looking at him .

"I said I should learn how to deliver one better " Jack responded back to her .

Katherine looked up at him and slightly smiled . Jack took a piece of her hair and pushed it behind her ear .

"Oh , I wanted to talk with you about something " Jack said .

"Yes ?" Katherine asked . She wasn't sure what he would say .

"Well remember when you came to New York ? And my mother and you where walking to me and I said something back New Hampshire ? And I had to go to a college opening there soon ? "

Katherine nodded .... Not entirely sure what this meant for her .

"Well ..... I have to leave tomorrow " Jack said sitting down next to Katherine.

"Oh , ..... Will Davey be coming with you ?" Katherine asked even though she knew he was .

"Yes .... Also , would you come with me ?" Jack asked . Katherine's eyed widen and her face had a smile grow .

"Of course! I'd love that ... It's sounds nice " Katherine smiled .

"Great . Cause I was thinking you haven't seen most of New York have you ?" Jack asked a hand on hers .

"I haven't see any of it . Rather than that one time Medda took my shopping for some bonding time . I'd love to see more " Katherine said .

"That's great ! We're going to leave first thing after breakfast.. And I know you would need some time to pack so ..."

"So just you , Davey and I ?" Katherine asked .

"No , I figured you might need someone to help you . Clara will be coming .... A that only of you want her to "

"I'd love her to come " Katherine smiled .

"Great ... You should go tell her and you two need to pack " Jack said happily looking at the smile across her face .

"Of course! How long will we be there ?" Katherine asked

"About four days " Jack smiled .

"Any important dinners or ?"

"Just the opening and a press conference "

"Different days ?" Katherine asked Jack . Jack though for a  second and then told her .

"No different days " Jack told her .

"Great ! I should probably go get my stuff ready -"

Jack then grabbed her face and kissed her cheek .

"I'll see you at supper " Jack said to her smiling .

"See you then ... Goodbye  Jack " Katherine said smiling .

She walked out and put a hand to her cheek .... Maybe this wasn't so bad .

"Clara ! We need to pack !"
