A Months Notice

Chapter Thirty-Seven

Jack woke up with a guilty feeling as Katherine had her thin arms wrapped around his torso . And her head resting on his chest .

"Good Morning Darling " Katherine smiled and yawned .

"Good Morning Katherine " Jack said and began the act .

Katherine sat up in bed and leaned over to kiss Jack . Jack kissed her back softly .

"How are you feeling ? You told me that you weren't feeling well yesterday afternoon and you were at supper " Katherine asked placing a hand on my forehead. "Oh dear , your burning up ! You stay in bed all day .... I'll have them cook you some soup ..." Katherine told him getting out of bed .

"Katherine I'm fine " Jack protested . He sat up but Katherine ran over and pushed him down .

"Not so fast .... In sickness and in health .... I'll be right back .... And don't even think about putting on your contacts !" Katherine sassed him and walked off in her dress for the day .

Jack sighed and grabbed his glasses of the night stand and put the television on . He grabbed his laptop and opened some of his documents .

Katherine came back with a bowl of soup . "Laptop away " Katherine nagged .

"I have work -"

"That's nice Jack .... But you need to be healthy .... So eat your soup , relax . And rest I'll check on you soon " she said and took away his laptop and cell phone .

"I love you Jack .... Get some rest "
Katherine smiled and walked out .

Jack sighed why did he have to tell her he loved her !

Katherine had come by multiple times to check on Jack . It was weird .... He wasn't running a country .

It was bed time and Jack was lying down watching a television show . Katherine came out of her closet with a nightgown in her hand .

She took off her gown of the day and Jack shifted in bed . "Jack ? Could you untie my corset for me ?" Katherine asked just in her undergarments .

"Sure .... I thought you're not supposed to be wearing corsets " Jack said as he undid the strings .

"It's a maternity corset ... Helps posture and prevents back pain " Katherine smiled at him . He undid the corset and it dropped to the floor .

He could see just her bare back but God .... Maybe lying did have its perks .

Katherine slipped her night gown over her body and walked to him . "I've got contact with my real mother " she said and laid next to him .

"Oh ? And ?"

"It was only an email but I'll be able to meet her ... In Pennsylvania sometime next week .... My father has already filed for divorce... And her titles have been stripped .... And I can't thank you enough " Katherine said and then kissed him .

"You're welcome dear " Jack said . Katherine smiled and turned off the light .

Jack began to think to himself of how horrible he was and drifted off to sleep .

Katherine ran to the bathroom and threw up . Katherine walked back and saw Jack lying like a sprawled out star fish .

Katherine chuckled ... My silly husband ..... She rubbed his back in order to wake up and move over .

"Hmmm ?" Jack said half awake .

"Babe ? Can you move a bit I need some space " Katherine asked still running his back .

Jack nodded and grabbed her and held her right .

"I love you Jack "

"Love you too "
