Aphmau stopped thinking about arriving back to the camp, as it was nearly nine at evening.
She was at the rusty gates of the city, as the paint was scraped off the railings. She started to walk, crunching on the gravel footpath underneath her, walking through the city. Staring at the ancient buildings and smashed windows. Seeing the horrific sight of this town, it must've been a war. She gasped. What if that's where Lilith Garnet was officially supposed to be raised her, but a war came, forcing the family to migrate, but the conflict made the boat sink?
But why, why was she having these faint feelings coming to her, as if it was some déjà vu going on.Soon she decided to explore more, she was just too curious and thought it'd be okay to risk it till eleven in the evening. If it was that time already, she doesn't have a watch.
"Hello?" She whispered, as she heard a sound of running. She struck a match from her match box and lit her torch, staring to see if she was hearing things. She heard the sounding slowly and gradually coming closer, with out thinking, she opened a random house door on the hill of the city and got inside, shutting the door. She sighed of relief, widening her eyes. What time was it?
She now was alright and was looking at the house, there was a room to supposedly be a sitting room with a okay fireplace that survived.
There was a kitchen which was completely burnt and a bathroom that seemed broken. Her footsteps creaked when she walked up the wooden stairs, to see a master bedroom with a open window, with a smashed window and a rock, whom done the damage. The curtains flowed with the wind. The bed sheets were scrunched up and the wardrobe was opened. She did not notice the two bodies on the other side of her room, that were corpse-like. The old couple had grey hair, but they had blood all over their clothing, the source was mostly from the females stomach and the males head.
Aphmau walked to the other room in the house, where she found quite confusingly frustrating. She found two single beds on each side, one side was coloured a scraping paint of light purple and the other half was dark green. The purple half had a familiar study desk with a book. Somehow like a diary.
