I must have fell asleep because I woke up what I think was a few hours later.

I lifted my head and wiped the drool off my chin and looked up at Asa, who was still asleep. I decided to leave him like that because he looked so peaceful.

Since we didn't get to order our pizza, I was feeling pretty hungry so I went downstairs and looked in the fridge. We really had to do some grocery shopping soon.

Sighing, I reached inside the fridge and lifted out a pot of yogurt. It wasn't very substantial but it would have to do.

I peeled the lid off and threw it in the bin before getting a spoon and going into the living room to sit on the couch. As I ate my yogurt, I felt some tiny movements in my stomach.

"You guys must like yogurt, is that right?" I chuckled to myself. The movements carried on, it was pretty funny because it's like the twins are communicating with me in a way.

Twins I thought to myself. This seems pretty surreal. It still worried me that I was responsible for not only my self but two other little beings. I just wanted to keep them safe.

Once I'd finished my yogurt I got up and threw the pot in the trash. I looked around and thought of something to do to amuse myself while Asa slept.

Oh. I might go on a walk. I needed some fresh air.

I looked around for a piece of paper and a pen. When I found one I wrote:

'I've went out on a walk around the park. If I'm not there when you wake up, don't worry. I'll be back soon.

Gemma x

I tiptoed up to our room and checked to see if Asa was still asleep. He was, so I placed the note on his bedside table so he would see it as soon as he woke up. I grabbed my coat and my shoes and put them on before heading out to clear my head and get some fresh air.

ASA'S POV

I woke up a few hours later, expecting to find Gemma curled up against me like she was a few hours ago. When I felt an empty spot beside me, I sat up quickly and looked around. Fuck.

"Gemma?! Gemma!!!" I called, panicking. I got up from the bed and looked around, running my fingers through my hair. I sat down on the bed again and grabbed my phone off the bedside table, but a little note caught my eye. I lifted it and read it.

She went to the park? Without me? I must have really upset her. I didn't mean to yell, it just kind of happened. I shouldn't have took my frustration out on her.

Shaking my head, I sat the note back down and called her on my cell. What's she playing at going out in the dark by herself?

After waiting anxiously, she picked up after a couple of rings. "Hello?"

"Fuck Gemma! You had me so fucking worried, what the hell are you playing at?!"

"Jesus Christ Asa, I left you a note on your bedside table! You were asleep, I didn't want to wake you up. And besides I want to clear my head--"

"Are you serious Gemma? It's so dark out there, don't you know how many crazy people are running around? What if something happened to your or the babies? What would you do then, huh?"

"Oh my God. Who do you think you are, my dad? I'm fine, it's not even that fucking dark Asa! You're acting as if I walked out on you in the middle of the night!"

I sighed. "Where are you? I'm coming to pick you up right now."

"The park, I've already told you. I'll wait for you at the front gates." She said, hanging up straight after.

I threw my phone down on the bed and got up, putting my coat and shoes on and grabbing my car keys.

When I got to my car I unlocked it and got inside, putting the keys in the ignition and turning the radio down. I really needed to make things right with Gemma again.

GEMMA'S POV

Was he honestly being serious? Can I not have some freedom? I sighed and shook my head as I leaned against the front gates. Our house was literally less than a mile away from the park, I really could have walked home but no. Asa had to come and collect me like he was my dad or something.

After waiting for just a couple of minutes, I watched as Asa's car pulled up outside. He gestured for me to get in. I walked up and opened the door, getting in and putting my seatbelt on.

"You know you had no right just to walk out on me like that? I was so worried about you Gem, scared out of my mind in case something happened to you and I wouldn't have been there to protect you."

"Oh my God Asa," I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration. "I'm a big girl!! I can protect myself, I don't need you with me in everything I fucking do. Are you forgetting that I left you a note?! Why are you behaving like I packed my bags and left for good? I just walked to the god damn park!!"

Asa shook his head and didn't say anything. "Not much to say now." I looked out the window and shook my head.

The ride home was silent, and as soon as he pulled up in our driveway I was out of that car right away.

I really wasn't in the mood to deal with him.
