We walked in the club to be greeted by a bouncer at the door asking for ID. I showed him mine, then Asa, and so on.
"Does anyone want a drink?" Aramis asked. I shook my head.
"No thank you, I'll probably get one later."
"That's fine. Danielle?" He asked, turning his head to face her.
"Um, yes please! Can I have that pink cocktail with the little umbrella on top? I forget what it's called." She giggled.
"Oh yeah, I know what that's called. Asa, do you want a drink?"
"Yeah, Budweiser please!"
"Okay, I'll get them now." Aramis turned on his heel and walked over to the bar, dodging through a lot of grinding couples. I skimmed my eyes around the dance floor, and something I didn't really want to see came into view.
It was a couple, about 24, snogging the face of eachother! The girl had her arms wrapped around the boys neck, and her tongue was literally down his throat. My eyes widened and I looked away quickly, making sure to pat Asa.
"What is it?" He asked, looking at me. My mouth was still hanging open and I gestured over to the couple, who were still in the middle of that.
"Oh my fucking God. That is completely disgusting. GET A ROOM!!" He yelled over the music. A lot of people stopped dancing and looked at us. I blushed bright red.
"Asa!" I hissed, putting my hand over my face.
"What?" He laughed, sticking his finger up at the guy who was mouthing abuse at him.
"Do you want to get into another fight?!" I demanded to know.
"Oh come on, Gemma, it's only a bit of fun!"
"Fine." I looked over to the dance floor again, and everybody was just doing their own thing again. The couple had hastily made their way out of the club.
"Somebody's going to get some tonight," Danielle laughed.
"True that," Aramis came over, holding three drinks between his fingers.
"Thanks babe, how do you know what we're talking about?" Danielle asked, accepting her drink happily and taking a sip.
"Oh come on, I heard Asa!" He said, sitting down beside him.
"Oh my Christ," I put my head in my hands.
"Whoops." Asa smiled smugly and opened his beer cap. "Thanks, by the way."
"No problem. When are they going to put some good music on?" Aramis asked, taking a sip from his drink.
"I know!" Danielle agreed angrily, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Guys, I'm going to the toilet," I said, excusing myself.
I walked to the toilet, dodging past a couple of tables and people. When I reached the toilet, I looked around for a women's one. No luck. I guess these were unisex.
I walked into a cubicle and sat there worriedly. When me and Asa did it last night, I'm not sure we used protection. To think I could be pregnant was wild. We haven't even finished school yet, never mind got married! Well, I suppose we were finishing school on Monday, but I didn't know whether I was ready to take care of a baby. I couldn't even take care of myself!
"Oh shit," I mumbled, biting my nails. How was I supposed to sneak myself a pregnancy test tomorrow without anybody finding out? I fumbled with my phone and dialed a number. Danielle. I could trust her with my life.
"Hello?" She picked up on the first ring. I wonder how she heard me over the music? She probably was on her phone anyway, as Asa and Aramis were probably talking about boy stuff.
"Danielle? I need you in the bathroom, as soon as possible!" I hissed.
"Coming now babe, see you." I heard the phone being put down.
I sat there for about 5 minutes, before I heard somebody shout my name.
"Gemma? It's Danielle,"
"In here!" I called, opening the cubicle door. I grabbed her arm and pulled her inside.
"What is it Gem?" She asked worriedly.
"Well, me and Asa did it last night, okay? And.. I'm not sure we used protection. I know it's too early to tell if I could possibly be pregnant, but what if I am Danielle? I'm so scared." I bit my lip, trying to hold the tears in. It didn't work and one fell down my face. Danielle gasped.
"Gemma! It's okay, everythings going to be alright! We can get through this together, if you are pregnant. Next week, we'll go to the pharmacy and get a test if you want?"
"But it's not okay Danielle! Asa's going to hate me!" I wailed, the tears flowing faster. I muffled a sob.
"He won't hate you, he'll still love you. I promise."
I took a few deep breaths before nodding. "I'll be okay."
"Of course you will. Now, do you want to come out?"
I nodded and smiled bravely, wiping my eyes and opening the cubicle door. I looked in the mirror and wiped my eyes.
"Let's go."
We stepped out, hand-in-hand. Not in a lesbian way, just in a friendly way.
"Hey what's wrong babe?" Asa asked, putting his arm around my shoulder. I shrugged my shoulders, smiling like everything was perfectly okay.
"Nothing. My zip was stuck on the door and I needed Danielle to help me.." I laughed nervously. Nice one, Gemma, nice one.
"Oh... Okay.." He gave me a strange look then turned away to speak to Aramis again. Danielle gave me a thumbs up and I smiled back weakly.
What have I done?
No, what have we done?
