Secrets. (Asa Butterfield Sequel to 'Changes')

I went straight into the spare room and slammed the door shut. I honestly didn't feel like having a face to face with Asa at the moment, I was too pissed.

"Gem," I heard a knock on the door. I didn't answer. "Gemma, answer me please! I'm sorry!"

I shook my head and lay down on the bed, putting a pillow over my head so I didn't have to hear him.

"Fine. I suppose you can call me once you cool off." I heard a sigh and some footsteps go into our bedroom, then another door slam.

I buried my face in the pillow and closed my eyes, trying to fall asleep.

ASA'S POV

After trying to get Gemma to open the door, but failing, I decided to give up and let her rest or whatever she was doing. I was just worried about her, that's all.

I sighed and leaned back on our bed, rubbing my eyes. My head was so sore so I decided to sleep.

A few hours later I woke up to feel a pair of arms around me. I looked down and saw Gemma, curled up against me like a little kitten. She must have snuck back in while I was asleep.

I smiled and pulled her closer to me, kissing her head. She was so cute.

"I'm sorry Gemmy," I whispered into her ear, even though she was sleeping.

She put her hand up and scratched her ear a little. Chuckling, I said, "You're just so adorable."

I admired her as she slept, taking in all her details. She was too damn beautiful, with her full lips and perfect little button nose. How did I ever get this lucky to be with someone as amazing as her?

I smiled at the thought, and rubbed her tummy, feeling a firm little bump. The thought of little beings that we'd both created swimming about in there made me the happiest person alive.

I kissed her head and pulled her as close to me as I could. I couldn't believe I'd got as lucky to call this beautiful angel mine.

GEMMA'S POV

When I opened my eyes I was met with Asa's blue eyes. I blushed, at the fact that he'd probably been staring at me drooling and all in my sleep.

"Hey Ace.. What are you doing?" I said, giggling slightly.

"I'm admiring you." Gotta admit, that was quite cute. I felt a slight blush creep up on my cheeks.

"I don't know if I should feel creeped out or what." I giggled, pinching his cheeks. He rolled his eyes playfully and wrapped his arms around me.

"Ace?" I said after a few minutes of silence.

"Yes?"

"Do.. Do you think we'll be good parents? I mean, I'm so nervous.. What if I don't know how to look after the babies once they're born?"

"Oh Gem.." Asa took my hands and looked into my eyes. "Every new parent feels that. I'm not going to lie, I'm shit scared as well but I know that once the babies are born we'll instantly know what to do. It's sort of an instinct."

I nodded, taking his words in. "I just want to give them the best life possible you know? I mean, my own mom and dad separated when I was only 10 years old, I never want my children to go through what I did."

"And they never will. This is so cliche but I honestly think we'll make it work Gem, we've been together for three years already and yeah to most people that isn't a long time but to me, it's the longest relationship I've ever been in. You're really the person I want to spend my whole life with, you me and our babies." He placed his hand onto my stomach. I smiled, feeling the babies faintly move around. Not gonna lie, I really thought he was gonna propose to me there and then. But.. I thought wrong. Still, I had the biggest smile on my face at his words.

"You always know how to reassure me." I said, giggling and hiding my face into his chest. "I really hate arguing with you, you know?"

"I hate it too, but perfect relationships don't exist so.." He kissed my head.

"Maybe not, but our relationship is perfect for me."
