Gemma's POV

I sat down again and wiped the excess tears off my face. I've heard about a lot of teenage pregnancies, and only a couple worked out. And by a couple, I mean about 1-2. The rest? Nope.

"I can't wait to find out the gender, because then we can start buying clothes and--" Asa started but I cut him off.

"Can we not talk about this now Ace?" He looked hurt but nodded.

"Yeah, that's fine." He said, gulping. I smiled weakly and put my head in my hands.

"I'm going to get some coffee. Do you want anything?" He said awkwardly, getting up and brushing the palms of his hands on his pants. I shook my head.

"I'm fine thanks."

He nodded and walked out of the room, leaving me alone. I sat there in silence for a while, before deciding to get my phone and do some research on pregnancy. I might have been only 19, but I was determined to give my baby the best life possible.

I stared at my phones lock-screen for a moment and sighed nostalgically. It was an old selfie of me and Asa, me kissing his cheek. We looked so happy back then. I'm not saying my life was going to be ruined with the baby, I just mean nothing's going to be the same anymore.

I sighed one more time, and finally unlocked my phone, typing in the pass code '6752'. I clicked into the Google app and searched 'Teenage Pregnancy Stories'. Woah, 12,242 results? That's a lot.

I clicked into one titled 'Carmen's Teenage Pregnancy Story' and read. By the end, I was close to tears. It was so similar to my situation.

It was about this girl called Carmen (obviously) who had been dating her boyfriend for 3 years at the time. They had always used protection, but this one time they forgot. It all escalated from there. But now, she has a little 2 year old son called Jason, who she loves with all her heart. She said she wouldn't change anything that happened for the world, because her son is the best thing that ever happened to her. Her boyfriend is now her husband.

I wiped away some tears, and moved on. Some stories were heart-breaking, like one about this girl who's boyfriend physically abused her when she was pregnant, so she lost the baby. I got so angry at that story. No man should abuse a girl, let alone when she's pregnant.

"Stupid ass motherfucker." I hissed, just as Asa walked into the room. He looked surprised holding his coffee, dear bless him.

"What?!" He said, blinking, thinking it was about him.

"No! It isn't about you, I'm just reading this thing." I glared angrily at my phone screen.

"Hate?"

"No. Come over here and read." I said, patting the empty chair beside me. Asa walked over and took my phone, the light from the screen illuminating his face. He read and scrolled, his eyes growing wider by the minute.

"What the fuck?" He said, handing me back my phone. I nodded.

"I know?!"

"That's completely terrible. Why would you hit a pregnant girl? Why would you hit a girl in general?"

"Ugh, there's some stupid people in this world." I said, shaking my head and exiting from that page.

"I'd never, ever, lay a finger on you Gemma."

"I know that." I smiled. "And that's why I love you."

We leaned forward and our noses brushed, before our lips touched. My arms went around Asa's neck.

"I love you too Gemma. More than you'll ever know."

He rested his forehead on my mine and stared into my eyes. His eyes truly were beautiful. I was just about to kiss him again when a nurse walked in. We gasped and sprung apart. I put my head down, bit my lip and blushed. Asa did the same.

"I'm sorry!" She said, walking over to me with a clipboard. "I was just wondering if you would sign this?"

I nodded and took the pen, "Where abouts?" I looked over the form.

"Right here," She replied, pointing at a line. I popped the lid off the pen and signed my name. "Thank you."

She walked briskly out of the room and I turned around to Asa and burst out laughing. So did he.

"What was that about?" He asked, once we'd both calmed down.

"I don't even know, I didn't look properly. Probably something to do with the tests I had earlier."

"Yeah, probably."
