SMUT INCLUDED IN THIS CHAPTER if you don't feel comfortable with reading that sort of stuff I'll put little ** when the scene starts and ends.
ASA'S POV (continued from last chapter)
"Do I look okay Ace?" Gemma turned to the side and looked at her figure in the mirror. I knew she probably felt a little self conscious since she'd just had babies three months ago, but honestly she looked perfect. Of course she still had a little bit of a tummy, but that's normal! She'd been working out every morning from a month after the babies were born when she gathered up the energy, and it had paid off because her figure was nearly completely back to the way it had been before she fell pregnant. Not that I minded, I loved her whatever she looked like. That didn't matter to me at all.
I walked over and hugged her from behind, resting my chin on her shoulder. I placed a soft kiss on her chin and whispered, "You look amazing Gem. I wouldn't lie to you." I rubbed her sides and tummy gently, watching as a smile fell upon her beautiful face.
"You always know what to say and how to make me feel better Asa," she turned around in my arms and kissed me sweetly on the lips. We kissed for a while until we heard a little cry coming from Jessica and Aria's cribs in our room. We laughed quietly to ourselves and walked over, looking down into the cribs. Jessica was still fast asleep while Aria was just awake, stretching and blowing tiny spit bubbles.
"Hi baby girl.." Gemma lifted Aria out carefully, placing her over her shoulder and rubbing her back slowly. "Are you ready to go to Grandma's? Yeah?" She cooed at her and gestured to me to lift Jessica out. I did so, and we strapped them into their separate car seats and placed their soft blankets around them, bringing them both downstairs. After a while, Gemma's mom arrived and took their changing bag, listening as Gemma went on and on about the twin's routines.
"Okay.." Gemma said, after talking about their routines for about 20 minutes. She was so nervous about leaving the babies for the first time, as was I. "So remember, they take a feed before bedtime. You will remember right?"
Gemma's mum chuckled. "Don't forget, I raised two babies of my own. You and Justin, I haven't forgotten how to take care of them. I know how you're both feeling though, it took me and your dad a year before we could leave both you and Justin with your grandparents."
I chuckled a little, looking down at my daughter's carriers. I leaned down and kissed Aria's and Jessica's heads a few times each. "Mommy and daddy will be back tomorrow babies, okay?" I kissed them all over their faces a few more times before Gemma did the same. I felt a bit emotional, not going to lie. It was going to be strange without the babies, even if it was just for one night, but I knew Gemma and I needed some time to ourselves and I was so looking forward to it.
After Gemma and I had finished fussing over the babies, telling them how much we'd miss them and that we'd see them tomorrow (which took up around 15 minutes), we hugged her mom. "Have a great time you two, and don't worry! I'll take good care of my grand babies." She laughed and took Jessica and Aria's little hands and gently moved them as if they were waving. We laughed and watched at the door as their grandma brought them down to the car and fastened their carriers in, waving them off as they drove around the corner. Gemma took a deep breath, and I saw some tears in her eyes. Don't even think that we were overreacting, because it's so hard leaving the tiny beings that you've been around for a matter of months (focusing on Gemma, since she grew them in her tummy for 9 months and hadn't left them since).
I hugged her tightly and said, "We'll see them again tomorrow baby. Come on, let's just look forward to tonight, we know their in great care." Gemma nodded and hugged me back gratefully before putting on tan strappy gladiator heels. We were ready to go. I had planned a romantic dinner, before going a drive to the beach, drinking champagne and just talking. (A/N: "Talking" ;) ;) ;) know what I mean)
