3 Months Later

GEMMA'S POV

I looked down at my rounded tummy, smiling at the biggish bump. It had surely grown a lot over the course of three months, as I'd expected. I'd been carrying the babies for 5 months already, I felt like my pregnancy was flying in.

Today was the day that we would find out what we were having. We both didn't really mind, as long as both of the babies were healthy that's all that mattered to us. Not going to lie, I would like a boy and girl, then we'd definitely be a perfect little family.

I stretched a little and walked over to the mirror, getting my phone out so I could take a picture and post my "bumpdate" on Instagram. The fans seemed to like that.

Once I'd taken the picture I posted it on Instagram with the caption, "20 weeks pregnant already!"

My phone vibrated non stop for a couple of minutes with notifications. Of course I checked them now and again, still getting some hate, but that didn't worry me anymore.

I heard Asa come downstairs, his hair sticking up all over the place. It'd gotten a bit longer but I loved it!

I watched as he nearly fell down the bottom step, still half asleep. I covered my mouth, trying to hold in a little giggle.

"Oh baby, are you alright?" I said, going over to him and wrapping my arms around his neck. It was getting harder to cuddle, what with my bump being in the way. The most comfortable position for that was spooning.

"Yeah.. I'm fine." He replied, in his husky morning voice that still gave me butterflies in my tummy.

"That's good," I rubbed his back. "What would you like for breakfast?"

"I'll do that, I don't want you to be on your feet much. What would you like?" He said, after kissing my cheek.

"It's fine Asa, honestly. I can make it." I went into the kitchen, putting the kettle on.

"Gem, go put your feet up and rest, we have a busy day ahead of us and you need some rest." He said firmly, giving me a stern look. I rolled my eyes.

"Fine, daddy." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes. I didn't even mean that in a kinky way, he really was acting like my dad.

He smirked at me, raising his eyebrows a few times. I laughed, shaking my head as I went off into the living room.

"I didn't mean it in that way you perv!" I flopped down on the sofa as I rubbed my bump gently, grabbing the remote with my free hand. I wonder what crap was on the TV this morning.

After flicking through a couple of channels and finally settling on some reality show, I took the blanket that was hanging over the sofa arm and wrapped it around me. I was really really excited to find out what gender our little angels were.

I took my phone out and scrolled through a couple of text messages I had got from my close friends, wishing Asa and I luck for today. Smiling, I replied back to them.

As I did so, I felt little feet kicking the left side of my stomach. One of the babies were awake!

"Good morning," I cooed, gently running my fingers over the side were the kicking was coming from. "Did you sleep well? Mommy didn't really, as a certain two little monkeys kept moving around!" I giggled playfully.

I saw Asa leaning against the door, smiling at me. I felt a slight blush creep up on my cheeks, he'd caught me having a conversation with unborn babies.

"No don't stop! Carry on speaking to them, pretend I'm not here." He cooed. I laughed and shook my head.

"How long were you standing there for?" I said, smiling.

"Uh.. Since you first started talking to them, I just came in to tell you your breakfast was ready but I didn't want to disturb."

"Well I'm finished now anyway." I heaved myself up off the sofa and walked, or "waddled" as Asa called it into the kitchen.

"Aw look at that cute little waddle." He said, chuckling. I shook my head and playfully flipped him the middle finger. "Hey! That was uncalled for."

"Sorry babe, love you!!" I placed a little kiss on his lips gently before sitting down at the table. He'd made me bacon, eggs and pancakes. "How did you know this was what I wanted! You must be physic, I didn't even tell you."

Asa pushed my chair in for me, making sure my bump didn't hit the table or anything. "I have my ways."

Laughing, I picked up my fork and began to eat. We had a big day ahead of us!

***

After eating and getting dressed, Asa and I headed to the car. The clinic was just around 5 minutes away, we could've walked, but decided against it as the weather wasn't that great.

Once we'd got inside the car and put our seat belts on, Asa pulled out of the driveway and drove. We sat in a comfortable silence all the way to the clinic.

As soon as we arrived, Asa helped me out of the car, rubbing my bump gently. I took a deep breath and looked up at him. "I'm so excited yet nervous at the same time."

"Me too Gem. Everything will be alright, come on let's go. Our appointments in like two minutes." He took my hand and led me in through the doors.

After we signed in at reception, the doctor called us right away. I got up, still holding onto Asa's hand and walked into the dimly lit room.

"Good morning you two, I've heard you're here to find out the gender of your twins, is that correct?"

I nodded and got seated in the chair/bed, lifting my shirt just enough so that my bump showed.

"You've grown a lot since the last time I saw you, that's great!" Dr Jackson said, putting some gloves on and getting the machine ready. "Have you been feeling any pain or discomfort lately, or do you have any concerns?"

"Well, one of the babies has been laying on my bladder an awful lot so I always need to pee, and sometimes they kick my ribs.. Other than that everything's fine." I replied, giggling. Dr Jackson smiled.

"That's very normal. Are you two excited?"

Asa and I looked at each other and smiled. "Very."

"Great! Well, you know the process, and as always this will be very cold." She said, rubbing the cold jelly onto my bump. I shivered a little. She then started to move the pregnancy stick around my tummy, trying to find the babies.

"Well.. Here's baby A and, ah! Here's baby B!" she pointed at the screen at two of the babies. "Baby A seems to waving, that's their little arm. And baby B is snuggled up in there! Let's see if we can find the genders out." She started to move the stick around on my tummy, looking closely at the screen. After a while, she smiled. I grabbed onto Asa's hand and looked at Dr Jackson expectantly.

"Congratulations Mr Butterfield and Miss Wilson," she started, looking at each of us with a big grin on her face.

"You're expecting twin girls!"
