Jessica and Aria were now 2 months old, and they were growing bigger by the minute. Of course they were still smaller than the average 2 month old, but there was a real change from when they were born. We hadn't gave them a proper bath yet, just little washes with soft face cloths as we wanted to allow the vernix to soak into their skin.
That day, we had planned to finally give them a bath for the first time ever. Asa and I were both looking so forward to this, he had gotten the baby bath and made sure to clean it well before we put them in.
"Ari, stop wriggling!" Asa laughed, as he pulled her little diaper off. I laughed and did the same with Jessica, smiling down at my beautiful little creations. They were butt naked, kicking their little legs around happily. The baby bath was already in the big bath, filling up with lukewarm water. I went over with Jessica in my arms and dipped my elbow into the water, testing it. "Just right Ace!"
He smiled and brought Aria over, supporting her little butt and head. "You ready for your first bath baby girls?" He kissed her head and then Jessica's before kissing mine. I giggled and nodded.
"I think they are!" I got down on my knees beside the bath, supporting Jessica's little bum and head as I slowly lowered her into it. Her little arms shot up in shock when she touched the water, and she pulled a face. Aria did the exact same, they looked so adorable.
"I have to get a photo of this!" Asa laughed as I supported Aria's head for him so he could take a photo.
After he had put his phone away he chuckled and supported Aria for me again, as I gently washed Jessica with a soft cloth. She waved her little arms, splashing around in the water and smiling gummy little smiles.
"I can't get over them." Asa admired the twins, and looked at me the same way. "The prettiest babies I've ever seen, including their beautiful mommy who they obviously take after." I felt myself blush a little at his words.
"Ace, you never fail to make me giggle and blush.. it's like when we first met all over again." I leaned over and kissed him gently on the lips.

We kept Jessie and Ari in the bath for a half an hour, swimming rubber duckies around them and little squeeze toys up until the water got too cold for them. We lifted them out carefully, wrapping them in little fluffy pink towels with their names sewn on. Asa took another picture of them, as did I, setting it as my lock screen because they looked so cosy and warm wrapped in their towels.
We brought them into our room, where their cribs and changing tables were and dried them off. "I think they liked their first bath!"
"Liked would be an understatement, did you see their smiles!" Asa chuckled, drying Aria off and sprinkling her with baby powder.
"They have your smile." I smiled shyly at Asa, as he leaned over and kissed me.
ASA'S POV
I was so in love with my little girls, and I didn't even know it was possible, but I feel even more in love with Gemma. Watching her give birth and raise our babies was amazing, she's done so much for Aria and Jessica.
I loved everything about our life.. I even loved getting up early whenever I heard the twins crying to feed them during the night (even though it was mostly Gemma, she was still breastfeeding) I always woke up anyway to see if she needed any help.
It had been a while since I'd gotten a role in a movie, but that day a script had been delivered - The Space Between Us. I really wanted to get back into acting, but hated the thought of leaving Gemma, Jessica and Aria behind. Maybe they could come with me? I had to check with my manager.
As I was looking through the script, Gemma came in holding Aria and Jessica in both of her arms. They were smiling and making happy noises, staring up at Gemma.
"Whatcha doing?" Gemma sat down on one of the sofas, tickling Jessica and Aria gently and cooing. I smiled, watching them.
"Oh, just going through this script," I held it up. "Looks good, it was delivered today."
"What's the movie called?" She squinted her eyes and read the title out, "The Space Between Us? Cool, is it another sci fi? I know how much fun you had shooting Ender's Game." She giggled.
"Yeah, it is.. I'd love to get back into acting, I haven't filmed since around last year. But the thought of leaving you and the babies behind makes me sad." I got up and went over and sat on the sofa beside her, kissing Jessie and Ari's little heads before kissing Gemma's lips. They were so soft and sweet.
"Well.. I don't know if we'd be allowed, but can't we come with you? Obviously we'd be behind the scenes, and we'd not that much of a distraction." She laughed to herself. I chuckled.
"I really don't see why not. I'll ask my manager."

*2 weeks later*
At 12 weeks old (three months), the twin's were thriving. Gemma and I hadn't left them yet, but tonight we had decided to go on a date. We hadn't spent time alone since the twins were born, and although we absolutely adored being with the babies all the time, we knew we also needed some time to ourselves. We were both really nervous about leaving them (even though they'd be with their grandparents - but it's normal for new parents to feel that way). Gemma had checked their changing bag about 50 times, making sure she had put everything in and hadn't forgotten anything.
"Diapers.. check, bottles? Oh no, where are their bottles?" I heard rummaging and then, "Oh, here they are.." I chuckled to myself, fixing my hair in the mirror in the bathroom.
Once I was ready, I went into our bedroom and found Gemma staring at her reflection in the mirror, tracing her sides with her hands. She was wearing a dark green/blue dress with her hair in her natural curls. (picture of Gemma down below and her outfit - yes, this is Hannah Wright the girl who actually plays her. Isn't she so pretty?)

"Wow Gem!" I gasped. She looked absolutely stunning.
