Connections

I wake up with a splitting headache and look over to the clock and see that I've only been sleeping for a couple of hours. I think it  was 4am when we left Zoe's. I look out my window and the sun is starting to peak through.

"A shower would be good right now, I fell asleep in my clothes which is kind of gross considering how sweaty and hot I was last night."

Last night...all the events come flooding through my mind. I walk over to my window and close my eyes, envisioning me and Theo and it makes me a bit sad.

I let out a huge sigh, and head to the bathroom. The hot water and steam rolling down my body feels good and I can feel my headache slowly fading with the essential oils in my shampoo. They smell so good, and they can help wake you up, relieve stress, and detox your body.

Once I've finished I wrap myself in my big comfy robe, and head to kitchen. I make sure not to make to much noise because I don't want to wake Theo.

I'm in the kitchen making me some Tea that will recharge my body and help get rid of this hang over when I hear Theo talking in his sleep. His room is closest to the kitchen and I go around the corner he has his door slightly cracked open enough for me to peek through.

I see him tossing in his bed slightly but his eyes are closed. "He must be dreaming I think." I turn to head back to my tea when I hear him say my name. I creep back to the door and listen

(Theo dreaming)

I'm in this room and it looks like its from another century. I'm dressed in a tuxedo and I'm waiting for someone. I hear the handle of the door move and when it opens its her. The most beautiful girl I've ever seen.

"Shai" is all that escapes my mouth. She looks gorgeous as ever. She is in the most beautiful baby blue ball gown. Its almost like a scene out of Cinderella. She walks over to me and music starts playing. I ask her if I could have this dance, and she smiles. I pull her close to me and when I do we both let out a little gasp. Its like this electricity is connecting us, and I can feel all her emotions and she mine. I begin to sway with her in my arms, as the song "This kind of love" is playing.

The words to the song almost break me. I look down and her eyes are closed, I lift her chin and tell her "Why are we only now just meeting, when it feels like I've known you for a lifetime." Shai looks into my eyes and I notice a tear forming. I put my hand on her cheek and she leans into it. I continue to dance with her and she doesn't say anything. Shai, say something I tell her, and I regret asking.

I almost spill my tea when I hear Theo say "Why are we only now just meeting, when it feels like I've known you for a lifetime." I hesitate when I turn to walk away. I shouldn't be listening to him in his sleep. 

"Theo...I.....I.....can't......" she turns and runs out and I go after her..SHAI! SHAI! SHAI! She disappears before my eyes and that is when I wake up and see her.

He's screaming my name and I want to run in and wake him, just as soon as I push the door open to go to his bedside he pops up

I go over to Theo and sit on the bed next to him, I'm sorry I heard you and well I was worried about you, are you okay? He's breathing hard and has sweat running down his face. He doesn't say anything, he just has his head down.

I reach over and put my hand on his cheek and tell him, "Its okay we don't have to talk about it if you don't want to."

I go to stand up and he grabs my wrist. I turn and look at him, and he says. "You" I look at him with a bit of confusion because I don't know what he is gonna say. I know he was dreaming about me, but is he mad? 

I give him a small smile

S-What do you mean You?

T-My dream it was about you

S-Oh (is all I can think of to say)

I ask him if he would like some tea, and he agrees. He gets up and follows me to the kitchen. 

T-Shai what are you doing up anyway, we've only been here a couple of hours.

S-I know, I woke up with a bad headache and decided I would shower and get comfortable before I went back to sleep. I remembered this tea I had, its suppose to help with hangovers so I decided to make me some before I head back to bed. Um...that's when I heard you talking in your sleep.

T-Oh yah about that (he gets a bit nervous and starts rubbing the back of his neck)

S- Its okay Theo, we don't have to talk about it if you don't want to.

T-No, its okay. We are working on the talking thing right.

S-I laugh a little and say Yes, yes we are

We go to the couch and Theo replays his dream for me, every word of it. He doesn't move from my gaze once as he does this. The more he looks into my eyes the more I want to tell him how I feel.

That's when he hits me with the Best friend words. Just like that my heart sinks, and the urge to open up to him fades.

T-Shai, I don't want anything to jeapordize our friendship. I hope you aren't mad at me for havingthis dream.

I turn to look out the window and tell him "Its okay Theo, its not like I haven't dreamt about you. Maybe because we spend every waking moment together, between filming, and living together, all the parties, its probably why we feel so close.

He turns my head to face him and we are just looking into each others eyes, and he says "So why does it feel like I've known you for a lifetime.?" Shai, its a rare thing we have if I'm being honest. We can tell when each other is "off" and well Me and Ruth we just don't have that type of connection.

I smile a little smile, and tell him maybe in another life we knew each other. He looks at me and starts to laugh a little and he says "Of course you would believe in something like that." Was I a hot king in my former life. (Just like that the serious conversation fades and I'm grateful)

Yes Theo you where the hottest King around, everyone wanted to be you, and all the girls loved you. 

"What about you Shai, did you love me in my former life", he says while making funny faces at me. I get a little embarrassed with that comment and tell him, "I guess you'll never know."

We finish our tea, and I tell Theo I'm gonna head back to my room when he tells me don't go. I look at him, and he smiles and tells me lets watch a movie and hang out. I really don't think its a good idea for me, but I agree anyways.

We are watching some random movie laughing and talking. He's told me a lot of stories from his childhood and I tell him I'd love to meet his family someday. He agrees to introduce me when we go to London for the premier of our movie. 

The all-nighter we pulled starts to kick in, because I feel my eyes getting heavy again. I lean my head on Theo's shoulder and he puts his arm around me, and covers me with a blanket.

"Thank you Theo." He leans his head on mine and we fall asleep again.
