Dinner & Paparrazi

As we are walking out the apartment, I remember Nahko has a show to do tonight. Nahko! Don't you have a show tonight, shouldn't you be getting ready.

He tells me to calm down, its a festival and he is the last to go on, so he won't be needed till 9:30. He goes on at 10:00pm.

I look at Theo, and tell him you are coming with us tonight right. I mean I don't want to be the third wheel here.

Theo laughs, and Nahko and Zoe just blush a little at each other. Theo starts to make an excuse, and I cut him off.

Please Theo, for meeee (all while batting my eyes at him obnoxiously) He smiles and tells me sure why not. I'd love to go.

I get excited and hug him, while thanking him. He hugs me back and I don't let go, that is until I hear the ding of the elevator door. I quickly let go, and he just smiles a little smile at me. 

We head for the lobby and I can already see the papparrazi camped out front. I start to slow down and Theo can tell I'm getting nervous. 

Shit, why do they always have to be here, Zoe says. Its been getting worse lately. Now that the buzz of filming is going around, we have to be careful.  Paps and fans have been popping up everywhere. 

The fans I don't mind, but the paps, they can be so aggressive and down right mean at times. We stop at the lobby desk, so they can have security escort us out. We planned on walking from the hotel but since the paps are already out. They will just follow us.

The security ushers us out as the cab is waiting. People start screaming as soon as they see all four of us. We quickly get in the cab and drive a few blocks down to the restaurant.

This place is low key, not very many people are here. The hostess recognizes us, but remains professional. 

She sits us in the far corner towards the back where we won't be bothered. Me and Theo sit on one side of the booth and Nahko and Zo on the other.

We been at the restaurant for a couple of hours, talking about music, movies, our childhoods, and its nice.

I'm glad Nahko looked me up, and though we didn't have a heavy conversation about the past, I'm glad we both made peace with it.

Zoe is just taken by him, and well I hope what ever it is they are looking for, they find it. I may be jumping the gun here, but they would make a lovely couple.

We have  officially stuffed our face, and decide we are going to walk back to the hotel, cuz yall well we need it.

Nahko gets a call has to head to a sound check and he invites Zoe to go along. She of course agrees, and they hale a cab leaving me and Theo to ourselves.

We agree we will meet up back at the apartment to ride to his show together. Its a beautiful evening and me and Theo are walking in silence. 

That's the thing with us, we don't always have to be on, we can just enjoy each others company in silence and it feels nice.

We come across a bridge and I stop to look out onto the water. The sun is slowly setting in the distance and it takes my breath away.

"Isn't it beautiful" I say, and I feel Theo step up behind me slightly to my side, and I lose my breath for a second.

"Yes, yes she is." is all he says. I close my eyes for a bit and turn to look at him. Just like that we are lost in each others eyes. 

I want to say something but I don't have the words, so I pull away from his eyes and stare out into the water.
