"Dean!"
I jerked from sleep. Starring wide eyed at the dark room before me. My nightmare already slipping back into my psyche.
I let out an all but happy sigh. Falling back into the cheap bed.
The nightmare plagued me every night. The sight of (M/N)'s face was always there. Always real. Always the same; dead.
The details of the dream were always the same. Playing over and over until I finally jumped or yelled back into reality.
It was just a hunt. Just me and (M/N) the magic using son of a witch; no pun intended. We went to the coven hiding deep in the Montana wilderness. He would always tell me it wasn't safe. That he felt something was going to go wrong. God I should've listened to him. I shrugged it off. Saying I was a hunter and he was a freakin natural witch; "nothing could go wrong."
Of course everything went wrong.
We'd been spotted by the Coven long before we could even put up a decent fight. It was humiliating. But it was the worst day of my life as soon as I woke up without (M/N) by my side.
I yelled out begging for the magic nerd to waltze out from some magic shadow or poof into my arms. Somewhere I'd know he was alive.
Though this is where the memory ended; my dream always delivered an ending. A way to cause me more pain than the fact I didn't know where he was.
I'd cry. As much of a pansy move it is I would. Every freakin time.
Then; there he would be. Impaled on the opposite wall. An iron steak burning into his skin as he slowly bled out before me.
He'd reach out to me, tears flowing freely from his (e/c) eyes as they mixed with the Crimson painting his form.
That's when I'd yell his name. My favorite name. Thinking maybe if I got him in my dream, he'd be there when I woke up.
He'd always yell back. Pain drenching the once happy, care-free voice of his. If he wasn't right in front of me I wouldn't believe it was from him.
I blink, my arm outstretched into the cold air of the motel before me. I blink, confused. Then remember. He was missing. No where to be found. Cas couldn't even find the son of a bitch.
I sat up in my bed. Only now noticing Cas in the room. I dropped my head and sighed before looking up at the celestial being.
"What do you want Cas?" I groaned falling back on the creaky motel bed.
Cas stood there creepily for a few moments before finally snapping out of his odd trance.
"I found him." Cas stated. My eyes flashed wide in surprise.
"Wait, wait you found him?!" I yelled. Cas only nodded.
"Well? Where is the little bastard!?" I yelled. Sam was groaning something about Tuesday as I snapped at the Angel.
"He told me not to tell you. He wishes not to be found Dean." Cas said solemnly. My face dropped.
"Wh-what?"
"He wishes for you not to find him." Cas repeated. Though it felt like he was just stabbing me.
"I don't care what he wishes where is he?!" I yelled snapping into more anger than pain.
"I cannot tell you Dean. He asked me not to. Very politely I may add. He said it was 'for the best' you not find him." He droned. I wanted to punch Cas now more than ever. I clawed at my hair as my mind raced searching for reasons he wouldn't want to be found. Did he grow tired of the traveling? Hopping from hotel to hotel waiting for something to snatch him in the night? Was he tired of getting beat up every time magic wasn't the answer?
