Standing in front of his house Makoto looked over at you, he could tell how nervous you were. He reached over taking your hand in his his.
"Don't be nervous. We're just meeting my family." He said. (M/N) looked at his boyfriend dumbfounded.
"Are you kidding me? Just meeting your family? It's never just meeting your family. It's life or death Makoto." (M/N) said low key freaking out.
"Calm down. They'll love you just as much as I do." Giving his boyfriend a reassuring smile, Makoto went to ring the doorbell. (M/N) shifted from side to side finding his shoes to be much more interesting than the events unfolding before him.
After a few brief moments, Makoto's mother opened the door. A warm smile adorned her features as she looked (M/N) over.
"Oh, is this the lovely boy Makoto's been talking about?" She asked. Makoto laughed awkwardly but nodded as his mother awed at the couple.
"Well come in come in! Dinner is almost ready. And the twins are so excited to meet you!" She smiled ushering the two in. (M/N) quietly followed behind Makoto as he entered his boyfriends family home for the first time. It was a nice home, that had the atmosphere matching Makoto's personality. It was warm, welcoming, and all around friendly. (M/N) felt a little more relaxed in the home his nerves settling momentarily. They walked into the living room where Makoto's father sat reading a paper like your stereotypical dad.
"Makoto? Is this your boyfriend?" Mr. Tachibana asked, peering over his paper.
"Yeah. Dad this is (M/N). (M/N) this is my dad." (M/N) reached and shook his hand, hoping his hands weren't sweating as bad as he thought.
"Nice to meet you." Mr. Tachibana said, giving the boy a smile. (M/N) smiled back before his reply.
"Nice to meet you too Sir." He said.
Makoto's younger twin siblings, popped into the kitchen. The twins stared at (M/N) who felt uneasy under their stare.
"Ran, Ren it's not nice to stare." Makoto scolded the two smiled and ran up to their brother hugging him and suddenly speaking up.
"Who is that?" Ran asked looking back at (M/N), who gave them the nicest smile he could.
"That's my boyfriend (M/N)." Makoto said with a smile.
Ran and Ren peeled away from their brother and walked over to the other teen.
"You know Ran, Ren. (M/N) is really good at coloring. Why don't you go color while we finish dinner?" Makoto piped. (M/N) shot a glare at his boyfriend who just smiled innocently. Oh he was gonna get it later.
"Really!" Ran asked. (M/N) nodded and the twins pulled him away never to be seen again.

Laughter was heard ringing through the halls of the Tachibana home. The sound came from the twins room where (M/N) and the siblings messed around completely.
"(M/N)! Ran! Ren! Dinners ready!" Mrs. Tachibana called. The laughter died down as the trio enter the kitchen, sitting around the table.
Mr. and Mrs. Tachibana smiled to themselves as Ran and Ren kept giggling to themselves as they are.
"Makoto, you've been telling me how (M/N) was handsome and all, but I didn't realize (M/N) was so good with kids." Mrs. Tachibana says.
"Mom.." Makoto says, blushing embarrassed. (M/N) chuckled and shook his head.
"Thank you, Mrs. Tachibana. You made a wonderful dinner tonight. And the twins were just so fun." (M/N) smiled looking at the twins who only giggled louder at the boy.
"You're really a great guy (M/N). I'm pleasantly surprised." Mr. Tachibana said.
"Th-thank you sir." (M/N) stuttered only making Mr. Tachibana laugh.
"No problem (M/N). Relax." He said.
(M/N) finished his plate, excusing himself he took the dirty plates and helped Mrs. Tachibana clean up while the twins played with their older brother.
As the night progresses you become more comfortable around Makoto's family, your earlier fear seeming silly as you stood with Mr. and Mrs. Tachibana talking like a family friend.
As the couple got ready to leave Makoto's parents tell you your welcome to come back any time and you thank them. Which made (M/N) completely relieved.
"Have a good time?" Makoto asked, once you two were standing outside. Walking to your car.
"I did, your family really is wonderful." (M/N) said, smiling. Makoto smiled and leant down kissing his boyfriends cheek.
"I'm glad. How about we visit your family next week?"
