RJ immediately went off the stage and asked for his phone from Mama Ten. He pressed the speed dial and waited for her to answer the call.
"Hello..."
"Grabe ka sa'ken kanina."
He heard her laugh on the other line. He could also hear Kuya Wally asking her who she's talking to. "Si Alden, Kuya..."
"Eh kasi ang kulit mo eh! Bumabanat ka d'yan wala pa naman tayo sa Kalyeserye."
"Ito naman...it's my chance. Kahit twice man lang kitang makaasaran eh."
"At talagang on cam mo pa gusto?"
"Bakit ang taray mo sa'ken?"
"Eh ang kulit mo nga kasi..."
"Sorry na...hindi na mauulit..."
"Sinabi mo na 'yan kahapon eh. Don't tell me nakalimutan mo na naman?"
"Meng naman..." RJ scratched his head in frustration.
"RJ...pinag-usapan na natin 'to ah? Sinabi ko na sa'yong naguguluhan na ang tao sa real at reel kaya kapag ganyang babanat ka, sa KS lang. Para naman malaman ng audience that what they see are our characters."
"Para namang nagagawa nga nating ihiwalay ang totoo sa hindi."
"Ayun na nga. Mahirap na nga diba? Mas lalo mo pang pinahihirapan."
"Huy Meng...huwag ka nang magalit please?"
"Di naman ako galit. Basta huwag mo nang uulitin please?"
"Eh bakit ba kasi you don't want us bantering during Sugod Bahay? It's just the same."
"No it's not RJ. I could always pretend that there's a border line in KS, regardless of how thin that line is, and I'm losing than grasp everytime na gaganyan ka habang wala ang border line."
"Oh s'ya sorry na. You can't sometimes blame me Maine. Matagal ko ng gustong gawin ang lahat ng ito. At alam mo lahat 'yan.
RJ sat on KS Alden's lungga. "Nicomaine? Unless nasa script ang sasabihin ko, whatever I say came from me, Richard Faulkerson Jr. Wala ng iba pa."
"No pretentions?"
"Real na real."
Maine snorted and sang the famous jingle of a certain juice drink.
"Okay fine. If we could at least have this little amount of privacy, I'd gladly take it. Doon na lang ako babawi okay?"
"Babawi ka talaga?"
"Talagang-talaga. Real na real."
Mama Ten found RJ sitting on his alter-ego's house. She saw him laughing so hard and she smiled. If there's one thing that she was most proud of, it would probably be this. Richard being true and being happy. As she walked away, she thought, "Alden and Maine could never find a better loveteam in this lifetime."
