Cuddling

It was near dinner time but RJ still stayed on the sofa. Some members of ALDENatics were there preparing food while one was discreetly taking photos of him.

"How was your day? Hindi ka ba naninibago sa bahay hmmm?" RJ nuzzled Philip's head.

You've got to be kidding me! I can sleep anywhere Alden!

RJ laughed when Philip barked at him. His tiny voice mixed with the noise on the living room. "You haven't met my other dogs yet but I'm sure you will love them. Matatanda nga lang sila compared to you. Baby ka pa eh!"

Pssshhh...give me a break. I can beat 'em anytime. Ooohhh! What's this! Shiny!

"Philip...huwag mong...tsk! Huwag mong dilaan yung relo ko." RJ pulled his left arm away. He placed the chowchow on top of the sofa and he sat on the floor. He sniffed Philip and made a face.

"Baho mo na."

Yeah, yeah, whatever. I can clean myself well, thank you very much.

"Hey buddy...I'm gonna tell you a secret..."

What's this? I need to...argh...I....can...not...reach...it...aha! Gotcha! Oh! What was that RJ? You talking to me?

RJ saw Philip bit on a dog snack that was stuck between the sofa. As Philip munched on the tasty treat, RJ nuzzled his face again on the dog's mane. "I'm missing someone buddy..."

No more snacks for me? Owww...hey Alden! Alden! Can you give me some more? Yes? Yes?

"You know Nini right?"

Nini? Of course I know her! She's like my bestest buddy best friend in the whole world! Are we going to visit her?

"Namimiss mo na s'ya?"

Yes! Yes!

"Ako din...namimiss ko na s'ya. Sayang talaga at hindi ako nakasama sa reception."

Huh? Rece---rece---what!?

"Alam mo 'yung feeling na makakasama mo s'ya sa isang event na hindi related sa work? I mean, alam kong workmates ko ang Dabarkads pero kasi wedding 'yun nila Bossing and Poleng kaya I don't count it as work. Pwede kaming mag-party dun, mag-usap. Parang it has been awhile since we had the talk. I mean, basta. Ibang paguusap. Na-mimiss ko na 'yun. Masarap kasi siyang kakwentuhan Philip. Alam mo ba 'yon hah?" RJ carried Philip as he laid back on the sofa. He placed his pet above his stomach and scratched Philip's right ear.

Yep...good...good...ahhh...that hit the spot. More please Alden? Can you rub my belly too? Pretty please?

"Marami pa namang next time to see her outside of work diba? Mas maraming chance ngayon compared before. Tiwala lang Philip. Ti-wa-la"

Ti? Wa? La? Huh? Treats! Treats Alden please!

"Basta ako na-mimiss ko na si Nini..." RJ kissed his dog's cheeks, or rather, a part of its nose and a bit of its mouth. "Kaw din ba na-mimiss mo na si buddy Nini?"

Yes. But Alden...I'm hungry!

"Alden! Kain na tayo!"

Food!

"Oy Philip! Ay naman...matakaw ka talaga." RJ scratched his head as he stood up and went to the dining table.
