Maine stomped her foot in annoyance as she left Wally and Jose on their tent. She went near Pat, who was texting but suddenly stopped and looked at her guiltily.
"M-Meng!"
Maine stared at her accusingly and tried to peer on Pat's phone. Pat noticed this so she stood up.
"Kumain ka na? Tara, kain tayo. May photoshoot ka na naman after this so mas okay na busog ka na. Sa may Alabang pa naman ang schedule mo mamaya."
"Ate Pat...something's going on..."
"Huh?"
Maine placed her hands on her waist and stood upright. "Anong pinaplano n'yo? Lalo na si Alden? Bakit nagpaparining si Kuya Wally kanina sa Sugod Bahay?"
"Luh s'ya? Paranoid ang peg? Anong pinagsasabi mo d'yan?"
"Eh kasi eh! Si Alden kanina parang ang cold tapos ako pa daw ang tinotopak! Tapos nung sinabi ko kila Kuya Wally at Kuya Jose, ang babaw ko daw tapos ikaw ngayon ganyan ka. Para kayong may tinatago. Naku! 'Pag nalaman kong may surprise kayo sa birthday ko, humanda talaga kayo sa'ken."
Pat laughed at her. She grabbed her left arm and wrapped it around hers. "Baliw. Si Madam lang 'yung ka-text ko para sa KS mamaya. Diba magsasayaw si Dawin sa Broadway."
"Oh? Eh ano naman? May nagbago ba sa script?"
"Meron. Pero hindi sa'yo. Sa Broadway so huwag ka nang mapraning d'yan. Sa March 5 ang celebration at alam mo na 'yun. Kumalma ka d'yan."
"Si Alden?"
"Oh anong meron ke Alden?"
"May pinaplano ba s'ya?"
'Bakit hindi s'ya ang tanungin mo?"
"Eeehhh!!!"
"Kita mo 'to. Ako ba si Alden?" Pat softly pushed her off and grabbed the rolled script on the table. "Bahala ka nga d'yan." Pat made a face for good measure before she left Maine.
Maine, not knowing what to do, reached for her bag and pulled off her phone.
Tinotopak ka na naman.
"Ikaw kaya ang di namamansin!" Maine grudgingly said to her phone. She placed it back inside her bag, not bothering to answer any of Alden's text messages.
This is really going to be a long week.

I was thinking of doing parts of this story until Maine's real birthday on March 3. Kinda excited where this will take me or us! Sana maganda ang surprise ni Alden.
And I am dedicating all photos above to Maine. Because she is so beautiful. Inside and out.
