Loosing interset?

I'm so bored so why not 2 updates I'm one day?

I hovered my hand over an ivory cot with flowers painted in the corners, imagining that my baby is sleeping in it.

"This is the one" I say to Alfie showing him the cot.

"Nico we can't afford that" he says back he was getting bored already.

"Mum says shell pay for anything the baby needs" I continued circling my hand around my bump.

"Well this is the one them isn't it!" Alfie says with a bit more enthusiasm.

We'd bought so much today but only the essentials cot, pram, car seat, changing table, bottles etc, when we arrived home Ben had made us a dinner, I wasn't going to complain this baby's starving.

"See you later" Alfie said as he grabbed his cost and kissed my check.

"Where you going we were going to paint the nursery?" I replied gesturing towards the baby's bedroom.

"Another time hey? Promised tom I'd of over and play video games" he shut the door behind him and I whispered to the child inside me "he's loosing interest already, don't worry mummy will make sure your bedrooms ready"

I grabbed some pink paint and started to paint the walls, that used to be granddads. An hour later I'd fallen asleep in the rocking chair and I'd barley got anything done.

"Tell her to shut up Nico" Alfie says over the roars of our daughters cries

"I'm trying Alfie" I say cradling my daughter

"You know what my parents were right, your on your own" he says as he walked out the house leaving me and my baby alone to defend for ourselves

"Shhh, please be quiet are you hungry?" I started to feed her and nurse her but she wouldn't feed, I tried the dummy but nothing worked, my life was over

I woke up in the chair crying to myself as I held one of my soon to be born daughters staring at it think that May be my future.

"Nico are you ok. Where's Alfie?" It was peri, not that I was happy to see her

"What are you doing here" I asked whipping the tears from my face

"The door was open I was coming to apologies and I heard you crying, what's wrong"
She has baby steph in her arms

"Just a bad dream, Alfies at yours" I say

"Oh is he now! Why would he leave you on your own ? When I was pregnant with steph he would never leave me by myself!" Peri sat down next to me and pulled me in.

"Yeah we'll that's tom, at least he's interested In his kid" I was looking at steph who was playing with boxes on the floor

"Is Alfie not interested? Last I heard he was up for being a dad" peri picked her daughter up from the rubbish on the floor.

"We'll he just hasn't really been happy about it he won't help me with any of the work around the house" I say putting things In the bin so that steph didn't eat anything

"We'll nico you got to speak to him otherwise things will get worse"

"Your right" I hesitated

"So how about I help you fix up this nursery?" Peri asked scanning the room

"Are you sure?" I questioned my best friend back

" best way I you can forgive me right?" Peri laughed

We built the crib and painted the walls and added little flowers on the wall to match. We set up the dresser and changing table and added a few clothes that I'd naught and some that peri gave me that steph had grown out of. Things we're looking cute and in shape at last

Alfie- just a quick message u ok

Nico- yeah

No kisses nothing is that all I'm worth to him? Then my mind flashed to the place when Alfie was yeah he's at toms but toms house is also where jade lives, what if he's cheating on me? That message may be true!

"Peri, what if alfies back with jade at that's why he's round at yours?" I asked her in worry

"I'll ring tom ok?.." I listened to peris words to her boyfriend she told me everything was ok and jade was out but I still wasn't convinced, I could just think of that dream.

"How about I stay over tonight, only if steph can too, you love auntie nico don't you!" Peri cooed at her baby.

"Sure, fancy a takeaway pizza?" Is asked her back

We both agreed on watching films and eating sweets and pizza until we both fell asleep, to be fair I was waiting for Alfie to arrive home but he never did, really does look like I'm going to be a single mum....
