"Hunter! Maverick! Come on or we're going to be late for Uncle Mikey's barbecue!" I yelled gathering the last few things we needed before we left for Michael's house.
"Okay I got diaper bag, boys bathing suits, Kia's bathing suit and floaties, and our bathing suits. Anything else?" Calum asked walking in with several bags on one arm and our 2 year old baby girl in his other.
"We need to put the pasta salad and the Mac and cheese in the car and then we can go." I said pecking his lips before grabbing the bags out of his hand. The two boys came running down the stairs, nerf guns in hand.
"Boys please put the guns down and get in the car!" I heard Cal yell as I put the last bit of stuff in the car.
I walked in to see Kia on the ground, laughing and clapping her hands, while Cal had Hunter in one arm, and holding Maverick at an arms length with his other.
"Maverick you are almost 7, please act like it, and Hunter you are almost 5, that means you're almost a big boy, show me you can be a big boy and beat your brother to the car. First one to buckle up gets a prize!" I yelled grabbing the little girl before she got run over. The two boys sprinted out to the car in record time.
"What would I do without you?" Cal asked kissing me softly.
"You don't have to worry about that now, do you?" I smiled.
"You know what tomorrow is?" He asked.
"Umm you know that's a great question." I said sarcastically, grabbing his cheeks. "Of course I know what tomorrow is, it's our 8 year anniversary. That's a long time to be stuck with you" I joked kissing him again. He smiled slightly. I turned towards the door, my baby girl on my hip. I felt a slap on my ass, causing me to gasp and turn around. Calum just stood with a cheeky smile on his face. Some things never change. I rolled my eyes and made my way to the car. The two boys were sitting patiently waiting for us to come out. I put Kia in her car seat before sitting in the passengers seat. Cal moved into the drivers, grabbing my hand and kissing my knuckles before pulling out of the driveway, onto the road to Michael's house.
The ride was short, a mere 10 miles through the city to get there.
"Okay boys, Please behave today, and don't be stupid." I said turning around towards them in the back.
"Yeah guys" cal chimed in.
"I was talking to you too."
We pulled up before he had a chance to say anything more. I unbuckled and ordered all the boys to take the stuff while I grabbed Kia. I knocked on the door. Madison opened it, immediately pulling me into a hug.
"Hi friends!" she squeezed pulling us into the house then out to the back yard.
Outside stood all of my friends. Bailey stood with Ashton by the swing set as he pushed their little girl Alexa on the swing. Michael was stood at the grill, yelling at his two twin boys, Jackson and Daniel, who were running around the pool. Luke sat at the table with his little, 6 month old girl Avery, in his lap, his wife Grace sitting next to them.
"Boys remember what I said. Please behave. Now go have fun." I kissed the tops of their heads before they ran off to play with the twins. I put Kia on the ground and held her hand so she wouldn't stumble onto the ground.
"Megan!" Someone squealed. I looked up to see Bailey running towards me.
"Bailey!" I pulled her into a tight hug.
"It's been so long" she said pulling away.
"I know I've just been so busy trying to keep the boys in line, keep Kia happy, and still keep a job, all while trying to find time for Cal. It's stressful. But it doesn't help that you guys left for like a year to go to New Zealand." I said sitting down on the little bench by the swing set.
