|Break Up|

"(Y/N)! I need to talk to you" Austin yells, walking into my house. I jog down the steps, his eyes catching mine. 

"What's up?" I ask, and he sighs.

"Sit down" He motions to the couch, and I look at him in confusion.

"Is everything okay?" 

"Just sit down please" He says, and I nod, walking to sit down on the couch. He sits down beside me, keeping too much distance for my liking "We need to talk?" 

"Okay" I nod "What do you need to tell me?" I cross my legs. He sighs heavily, and runs his hand over his face.

"I don't even know how to begin" He chuckles, but there's no humor in it. I gulp nervously, and reach for his hand but he moves it away before I can grab it. I frown deeply, as a hurt feeling consumes me. 

"What is going on?"

"I just want to say that I never cheated on you..." He trails off.

"What are you talking about?" 

"I fell for someone else" He looks down at the floor, and I gasp quietly, tears filling my eyes "I didn't mean for it to happen, but it did and I'm so sorry" He shakes his head.

"Who?" 

"Rachel" He whispers, and my sadness soon turns into anger.

"Rachel? Are you fucking kidding me?" I grit "You wouldn't even know her if it wasn't for me!" I yell. 

"I'm sorry Baby" 

"Don't. Don't call me that" I sigh "You went behind my back and fell for my best friend, and you have the nerve to call me Baby? You're unbelievable" 

"I didn't mean for it to happen" He shakes his head "It just did and I'm so sorry about it" 

"How'd it even happen?" I ask, wanting to know everything. 

"I saw her out at a bar one day, and we just started talking and soon it turned into hanging out" He shrugs "I'm sorry" 

"Stop apologizing when you don't mean it" 

"I do mean it" 

"No you don't. If you meant it you wouldn't be leaving me" I cry, wiping my tears away "What did I do wrong?" 

"You didn't do anything wrong" He protests "She just, she makes me feel alive" 

"So did our relationship mean nothing?" 

"It meant everything to me, but I just found someone else" He sighs.

"Get out" I point to my door.

"(Y/N)" 

"No! Leave! Go back to your new girlfriend" 

"Please, I don't want you to be mad at me" 

"It's too late for that. Leave. I hope she loves you as much as I did" I grit, and he sighs, standing up from my couch. He walks out of the door and slams it behind him, leaving me to cry alone in my house. 

6 months later. 

I walk out of my house, for the first time in 6 months. I decided that it was best to get a new phone, after dropping mine in a sink full of water and never getting enough strength to get a new one. 

When I get to the store, I curse when I see it isn't even open yet and I roll my eyes, deciding to walk down the street to a little cafe to get a coffee. I walk inside, the smell of coffee filling my senses making my mouth water. 

"Hey (Y/N)" Someone says from behind me, and I turn around seeing AC.

"Hey" I say slowly "How've you been?" 

"Good, how about you?" 

"I've had better months but I'm getting through" I nod, and soon it's my turn to order. I order a coffee, and pay, turning my attention back to AC.

"That sucks" He frowns "I'm really sorry about everything" 

"Don't be" I shake my head, just as my name is called "It's not your fault" I shrug, grabbing my coffee and walking out of the cafe. I walk back up the street to the shop, seeing it's still not open and at this point I'm too lazy to wait, so I just go back home. 

When I get to my front door, I see it's cracked and I tilt my head in confusion, knowing that I locked it. Normally, someone would be scared at this, but crime barely happens in my neighborhood. As I walk inside, footsteps approach me, and when I see who it is anger fills me.

"What the hell are you doing here?" 

"I want to apologize" Austin says "I've tried to call you everyday, but you never answered" 

"I uh, dropped my phone in the sink" I scratch the back of my neck. 

"I'm sorry (Y/N)" He sighs, walking closer to me. 

"I can't-"

"Please, please forgive me" He begs "I love you so much"

"I'm sure you said that to Rachel too" I roll my eyes.

"I didn't" He shakes his head "I realized I didn't love her as much as I love you. I didn't love her at all. I just thought I did, and I know that doesn't help, but I love you so much and if there's any part of you that still wants to be with me, I'll never take it for granted" 

"I don't know Austin" I shake my head, and he takes my hands in his. 

"Please" He kisses the corner of my mouth "I love you" 

"Don't do it again" I say sternly and he nods.

"I won't I swear" He kisses my knuckles "I love you" 

"I love you Austin"
