Sup people! I had planned this chapter out but when I got to half way through it was just the cutest thing ever and it didn't feel right carrying on with the other half of the chapter so this is part 1.
Nathan's POV
Turns out 'a moment alone' meant 10 hours. It resulted in me pacing around the room for about two hours, punching the wall for a few hours in attempt to knock some of it down before realising that they had left the room then a thought hit me like a jack-hammer. I was hungry. Really hungry. At times like this I would probably tell the boys and they'd tell me to wait for another day and I'd just fidget constantly because the urge to rip a human to shreds became too much and the boys would get irritated because of me and they would let me go eat. Now with nothing to do but focus on my urges, I was losing it. My sense of smell heightened further and I knew a human was in the building which infuriated me knowing I was locked in and they were out there. I was just agitated but somehow I fell asleep, probably because there was sod all (that's nothing in British terms) to do.
Since I physically can't fall asleep or dream anymore, my version of sleeping is lying there with my eyes closed, it's pointless and technically I should spend the time 'hunting' but I could never be bothered. I awoke from my 'sleep' because someone was kicking my side repeatedly and forcefully.
"Ow. What the-?" I growled, looking up at my kicker. Lucas. I really hate this guy. I'd snap his neck in a second if we weren't on his turf and if he wasn't stronger than me.
"Sleeping Nathan? You do know you don't have to, right?" He asked with obvious condescension.
"Of course." I spat while brushing the foot shaped dirt off of my jeans.
"Then why do you?" His tone bordered on curiosity but it was mainly mockery.
"I dunno it's just what we've always done." I said while standing up.
"There is no more we Nathan as in you and the 4 boys. It's we as in you and your new clan, those of which do not sleep. Come." He grabbed a fistful of my shirt and pulled me into the corridor.
"Hungry Nathan?" He grinned evilly.
"No." I hissed quickly, lying through my bare teeth.
"What would you say if there was a human in that room right there?" He said while pointing to a door on the opposite side of the corridor to my room. I felt my fangs extend over my bottom lip instinctively and I turned on my heal and rammed my shoulder into the door... It was locked and he was lying. There was no one in there, I could see that through the small glass pain in the door. He smirked.
"Yeah so? I'm only hu... Vampire." I said defensively, attempting to make my fangs retract and failing.
"Not 'only' Nathan. You're a vampire. The best creature on the planet." He leered, patting me on the back and pushing me into Lili's room.
This time, instead of an empty room, there was a screen and rails of clothes in many forms. Through the screen I could see the silhouette of a girl... Lili, I knew it was her immediately.
"Lili? Are you okay?" I asked loudly, running over to the screen.
"God Nathan! I'm getting changed, hence the screen! Anyway, I'm still not talking to you!" Lili yelled sounding very agitated.
"Lili-" I sighed.
"I don't want to hear it!" She snapped, exaggerating every syllable.
"But I-" I began.
"Oh stop it with your lovers quarrel! Are you done yet?" Lucas asked her.
"Err... Yep." She emerged from behind the screen and I was gobsmacked. She looked gorgeous. Her brown hair was longer, glossier and was slightly wavy, her brown eyes looked sharper, her lips looked fuller and her face was more defined. Every flaw I had never noticed before had vanished and been perfected. Then I noticed what she was wearing. Previously she was just wearing a pair of old jeans and a blood covered white jumper but now... She was wearing a bright red top with a deep v neckline, a black, short pencil skirt, a leather biker jacket and red peep-toe platform heels.
