Author's Note: Welcome to my story, the beginning is not as good as I wish for it be, but it's under major editing. Just keep with it, it gets better. Thank you.

I rolled over in my sleep, allowing the sweet dreams of hot boys lure me back into sleep. I heard a tap on my window, I groaned, already knowing who it is. I pushed my face further into the pillow, hoping to delay having to get up.

"Shay!" I heard her voice hiss, knowing I would soon have to leave the comforts of my warm comforter. "I know you're up!" I groaned, snuggling further, if possible, into the pillow.

"What do you want, Kelsey?" I asked, mocking anger, knowing I could never be mad at her, she has been my best friend since birth. We met each other when I turned two, and my father invited the new family that just moved in next door to my birthday party. We clicked, and have been inseparable since.

"Wow. Good morning to you too, Shay." I grinned, sitting up, walking over to my window. I looked down and sure enough there was Kelsey, sporting her usual outfit, jeans and a pretty blouse.

"Are you going to let me in or what?" I groaned playfully, walking downstairs, knowing my father had already gone to work. He thought I was responsible enough to wake myself up, and then Kelsey always gave me a ride to school.

"We gave you a key for a reason, Kel. Maybe you shouldn't keep forgetting it." She rolled her eyes, pulling it out of her pocket.

A smirk on her lips, "All part of the plan to get you outta bed." I groaned, as we walked upstairs together to ready.

"Seven hours of hell, I am so ready for this weekend." I moaned, throwing my black Land's End backpack across the back of the couch. Kelsey rolled her eyes, a smirk playing on her lips as she plops onto the couch.

"Your dad said he was going into town tonight, right?" I nodded slowly, not sure where she was going with this. "Well," she paused, looking towards the screen door. "Did you hear that?" I shook my head, rolling my eyes.

"Continue, Kelsey." She smirked, before continuing.

"I say, vampire hottie movie night." My eyebrows raised, now I know why she wanted my dad out. He always makes stupid comments about the boys in the movies. Or, how we both squeal when they have to take their shirts, most of the time both.

"Most defiantly," I agreed, nodding my head. I watching as Kelsey walked into the kitchen, I heard her talking to someone over the phone. I listened in till I heard her mutter 'cheese pizza', I should've know, Kelsey can't go a week without pizza.

"If she won't love you, I will!" Kelsey exclaimed, throwing herself at the tv. I smirked, it was the part where the main girl tell one of the hot guys she doesn't love him, but loves the other hot guy. So apparently, Kelsey is hoping his broken heart will be healed by her magic.

"Kel, he's just a character. He has a girlfriend in real life." I reminded her, as she looked at me, fake crying.

"Oh my god, don't remind me." Kelsey replies. I'm about to think of some sarcastic remark, but a loud crash comes from outside. "Um, that time it wasn't the pizza guy, Kel." It was true, the pizza got here twenty minutes ago. She froze, staring at the screen door.

"Come on, Shay. Let's go check it out." Despite knowing that this is how every girl has died in horror movies around America, curiosity picks me out of the couch to follow Kelsey out the back door.

Kelsey walking slowly towards the kitchen, going to the drawer next to the sink, getting a flashlight. I follow her out the front door, grabbing the bat the rests behind in on my way out.

Quietly, we make our way towards the barn. Halfway there another crash froze us in our tracks, following the crash was a hiss from a person. Both of us taking a deep breath, we continued our trip to the barn. The door creaking as we barely pushed it open. I flick on the lights, which consisted of only one small light in the middle.

I looked at our intruder as he spun around his heel, surprised to have visitors. He was well built, tall, and lean. He had black hair the had been matted from the rain, and pushed to the side, a couple tattoos peaking out from his shirt. All in all, he was good looking but intimating.

"What the hell is all that noise?" Kelsey hissed at the boy, moving his flashlight to shine in his eyes. He didn't flinch.

I pulled out my bat from behind my back, trying to make a children's wooden bat look as scary as he did. Looking at it, he growled, before lunging at me.
