*Ryder's POV*
I hate this stupid job so much. I knew that I had to do this, I felt the need to prove myself worthy to Shay and her family. Why would I feel this way? Okay, I lied, I actually do enjoy this job. I like cars. I just would rather be at home with Shay. Not just her and Zach alone. I don't know what's up with that douche.
Maybe I'll call and tell her about how my first day is going?
Is that too forward?
I mean we aren't dating... but what are we?
That's actually my job to ask. Do I want to ask?
I leaned up before cursing as I hit my head on the bottom of the car.
"Yo, you good, Ryan?"
I glared at my new co-worker, Juan who couldn't do shit, or seem to get my damn name right.
"It's Ryder, Juan."
He looked confused before nodding, walking back to his car that he was working on.
Dumb ass.
I still want to call Shay,
One time won't hurt? Yeah sure.
I slid back from under the car heading to my locker.
"Look, amigo, I'm sorry I got your name wrong, I'm not good with names."
I nodded to Juan as he followed me back to get my phone.
"We good?" He questioned.
I got my cellphone out of my blue metal locker.
"Yeah, we're good."
Juan smiled, "Who you callin'?"
I huffed, "Bro, just give me a minute."
Juan shrugged, walking back out into the shop.
Does Shay have a cellphone? I don't think I've ever asked.
I guess I'll just call her house phone I guess. She likes to be lazy after school anyway.
A smile etched into my lips as I pressed 'call'
Ring
Ring
Ring
I frown as I continued to listen to it ring, you can still hear the phone from the barn if she was out there.
Then the voice mail came on, and I pressed 'end'. Where was Shay?
*Shay's POV*
I pressed Zach away from my body.
"Zach!" I gasped.
He stared at me emotionless for a few moments before reacting.
"I'm sorry, I just thought.." He trailed off.
"Thought what?"
Zach looked me up and down my body, causing me to wince in disgust.
"We still had something..."
I push him back, causing him to step back three steps.
"Take me home, Zach."
He nodded, before stepping out of the dressing room. I changed back into my jeans and shirt, before throwing the dress over my shoulder.
I didn't want this dress anymore, I felt gross in it now.
