Quick A/N: Photo on the side (or top if you're on mobile) is Kelsey and Shay.
*Ryder's POV*
I sat awkwardly on the couch, I didn't know what I should be doing. I wanted to eavesdrop on Shay and Zach's conversation but I knew that Shay wouldn't appreciate it, although I don't trust Zach. Something about him is off.
I could hear yelling come from upstairs, and immediately I stood. I hear Shay let out a yelp and I began to climb the stairs faster, what the hell was going on?
Once I reached the top of the stairs, I froze, I heard Shay yell again and I started for her door. I pushed the door open, hearing Zach yell back at her.
"You weren't saying that two days ago when your lips were on mine,"
The door creaked, announcing my arrival.
My stomach dropped to the floor, my heart began to hurt.
"You kissed?" I asked.
Shay's jaw dropped, as stuttering words came out of her lips but I couldn't hear anything. I caught Zach smirking at me though, and it managed to piss me off more.
My whole body felt numb as I started back down the stairs. I could hear Shay's footsteps behind me.
"Ryder, please wait."
I ignored her. I started out the back door, I had no idea where the hell I was going, I just couldn't stay here with her.
"Ryder!" She pushed her body in front of mine, that's when I noticed the tears going down her face.
"It's not what you think! There's so much that I haven't told you, because I was ashamed of it. I'm sorry, but please don't leave."
I felt tears in my own eyes, "You felt ashamed? I told you about the horrible things I used to do! I told you about my brother! No one knows about how I truly felt about my brother but you! To everyone else, I wasn't phased, but I can't trust you anymore, Shay."
She shook her head rapidly, "Yes, you can. That thing, it's not-"
I pushed past her, her small hands wrapping around my upper arm.
"Please, Ryder, don't leave."
I pushed her arm off of me, "I need time."
I jogged down the driveway, as I saw her figure right where I left her. I don't even know what she could mean by she's keeping things from me. What would she not tell me?
I cursed once I got to the main road, where was I supposed to go now?
I gave a small smile, before walking down the road a bit, coming up the yellow house. Knocking my knuckle on the door, I switched my weight from foot to foot.
Ansel came to view after the door opened, he gave me a confused expression.
"Ansel, can I please stay here tonight? I'm sorry that it's so late, but I really need some place to stay."
Ansel nodded, "Of course, you're always welcome here, Ryder."
He stepped aside as I walking the warm home.

*Shay's POV*
My entire body felt numb as I walked through the hallways, it was so crowded but still, I've never felt so alone. My eyes scanned the crowd for familiar raven hair and emerald eyes, but came up empty. He hadn't showed up to the bus this morning, but neither had Kelsey or Ansel. I felt my arm grabbed as I was jerked back, a gasp escaping my lips. I turned to come face to face with Kelsey.
