I gasped out for air, gripping onto him for any sort of reassurance. But he remained cold and still, rocking his body in to mine.

If I didn't know what true pain felt like, now I certainly did. No words could explain how painful and draining this encounter was- even after he'd promised me that he'd never hurt me.

I felt my hands clamp shut, my blood pulsating around my body. I now struggled to stay quiet, mouth falling open as I let out a scream of pain. What on earth was he doing to me?

Calum silenced me, his fingers moving to my open mouth as I let out another small scream. By now, the pleasure had well and truly left my body and was replaced by cold, hard pain which had immobilised me. My body had seized up and was curled under him; back arched, fists clenched and mouth wide open as my head was thrown back.

"Take enough to satisfy, but not enough to kill."

With another wave of pain washing over my body, I managed to croak out his name, hands clenching in his hair. The amount Calum took was enough- more than enough, and even I knew that.

But he kept going, sharp teeth sucking the life out of me as I felt myself slowly begin to fade. My thoughts were incomprehensible and my body had finally eased up under him.

A certain numbness washed over my body as I felt my eyes fall shut, and mind struggling to find the difference between reality and dreams. I'd lost all feeling completely, and that's when Calum pulled away.

My eyes were shut, but I could only just make out the shadow of him pulling away. He moved out of me, grabbing the duvet and pulling it over my lifeless body. And he laid down beside me, hand moving to my cheek. If I wasn't almost dead, I would've embraced his hold and rolled into his warm body- but when I was laying here, slowly dying, I only wanted to be alone. That was when Calum leant in, wet lips moving to my ear. I was slowly slipping, my body giving up the fight as he spoke the sweetest words to me - I was thankful they were my last.

"Sleep Stella," he whispered, his voice penetrating my empty, hollow mind. "And I promise you, you will wake up."
