I glanced over at Chet, watching as he took a drag of his cigarette, slowly puffing out the smoke.

"So..." He trailed off. "You're telling me that nothing about this situation is suspicious to you. That both Marcus and Calum appear back at school the very same day..."

"Chet, you're honestly just paranoid. I know for a fact Calum had nothing to do with him." I said. Chet offered me the cigarette, shrugging. I shook my head at the offer.

"I don't think he's innocent."

"What do you have against him so much?" I asked, sitting up slightly.

"I just know he's not innocent."

"Well who's to say that you're not just trying to frame him?" I shrugged, rolling my eyes.

"Because why would I kidnap my best friend, frantically search everywhere for him, make a big deal about it then send him back out like nothing happened." He chuckled, looking up at me as if I'd said the most stupidest thing in the world.

"Because you're the least expected, you're his best friend after all."

"That's just stupid." He shrugged. "I was worried sick about him."

"Well, I suggest you stop pointing the blame at other people and just thank god that he's safe and alive." I said, glancing up at him. Chet furrowed his eyebrows, puffing the smoke out.

"I know you're trying to defend Calum but just stop, is not working. I'm going to get to the bottom of all of this and as I said, you can either help me out or go down with him but you can't do both."

"Calum is not the man you think he is- I know him better than anyone, especially you, and know for a fucking fact Calum would never intentionally cause anyone pain." I continued to defend him, despite the truth bubbling away inside me.

"Why are you so quick to defend him, huh? You're always so quick to get behind him. It's like he's brainwashed you, Stella. Fucked with your mind and made you his." He muttered, shaking his head.

"Because I'm going to defend what's right and defend him because if he gets taken down because of this for nothing, then you bet your sorry ass I will frame you for something you haven't done, the same was you're framing Calum." I snapped, standing up. Chet looked up at me, softly chuckling as I stared down at him.

"Baby, you really shouldn't threaten me like that..." He smirked, eyes scanning down my body. I was tempted to spit down at him goddamn it.

"By the way... Cute undies." I glanced down, noticing that my skirt had ridden up and and the wind had caught from behind. I cursed, tugging it down as I stepped away from him.

"You're a fucking ass." I said, picking up the hat i found beside me and chucking it down at him. He only laughed, that obnoxious smirk still plastered on his lips.

"You love it, Stella."

I ignored his comment, walking down the hall to avoid coming in contact with other people I didn't wish to see. I continually tugged down my skirt, regretting the decision of even wearing such a short skirt today.

I wrapped my arms around myself, walking down the hallway as people walked passed me. I'd been on edge the whole day, seeing as both Calum and Marcus were back at school- And that I hadn't spoken to Calum. We both kept our distance from each other. I appreciated it but hated it at the same time, because I was dying to see him but I knew I couldn't give in and throw my arm around him as if nothing had been going on the past couple of days. I still had so much to think about.
